How potent are nats in comparison to penis envy? About the same? Less pitent? Wanting to know what to expect.

I didn’t notice too much of a difference but others say they are much more gentle on the come up and less of a body load.

I would agree, gentle is a good word to describe it and less body load than cubes. Weak visuals for the overall strength of the shrooms in my experience.

I definitely get a different type of visual and a more positive overall trip from natalensis.

So there’s this really awesome documentary show called trafficked, the new season just started and the first episode was about assassins. And took place mostly in Natal with these big taxi companies running hits on the side.

Thought it was pretty interesting especially having a few guys in here that live there. I knew South Africa was fucking gnarly but for some reason assumed natal was some quiet country type area

These tame Nat cultures make me happy. Very predictable and never fail me.

Tubs are still flushing. Fruits dont look like they got much weight to them though

Probably eeked out 3/4 of an oz per qt of spawn. Didnt keep too close of track admittedly.

These are what I want. More of this please.
Flush number 3 or 4. I’ve probably gotten close to 2 oz per quart.

These tubs have 2 myco quarts in them. Gotten probably 1-2 oz per flush easily. Gonna hydrate and see how far they will go and what mutants I can get.

Swabbed and cloned babyyyy

Nice! Did you clone and print them? Those may be the prettiest nats I’ve ever seen.

Swabbed them under the flow hood. Cloning them as we speak. If you send me a message, I will send you swabs

I think it’s largely culture dependant in my experience. I had a swab, went to agar, LC, grain and an absolute mess of overlay. Went back to spores and same shit.

Got spores from another source and fruited beautifully first time. Ofcourse there are things you can do to try and deter overlay like adding a casing at full colonisation and going easy on the misting.

You can stabilize the culture, but that will take quite a few generations of careful selection. The easiest is to just get a tame culture from someone.

I have similar issues with overlay, managed to get a few small fruits out of a tub it to clone and see if that helps at all. Doubtful it will solve the problem but worth a shot.

I also took a few clones of the overlay tissue to run some overlay-only tubs. Those jars are almost finished colonising so I’ll be posting updates once they’re further along.

On cubes I feel like I’m easily annoyed at everything.

Nats are petting me with the fur and Cubes are somewhat the opposite.

It's about fucking time and all, I was led to believe natalensis was a fast prolific fruiter this took longer than the PE I had going 🤣

I had to cold shock it and case it before seeing life.

There was no overlay, it just took it's sweet ass time

If you squint really hard you can see my first natalensis pin 🤣

Hopefully this is the first of many 😁
