I was reborn yesterday thanks to natalensis. I don't know what happened as the dose was my usual high dose but I had an awakening. Took a lot of breaking in to get here unless the last batch I dried was somehow special. Started falling back into a hole today, but I am hopeful as it seems life has a lot to offer. Much more than my concious was able to perceive for the last many years. Thank you for the medicine

Here’s my current shoebox, s2b January 4. Those two “early birds” are pretty chonky; I hope that’s a preview of coming attractions

Anybody have experience putting spores to agar with nats? Does it take longer than cubes?
I put some spores down on the 16th, haven't seen any signs of growth...

Cubes, pans, woodlovers, or nats I always see germination within a week.

Fresh Nat spores take me about 3-4 days on soft agar.

Spores can take weeks, prob 95% of all the spores I’ve used have germinated by ten days though. 4-5 days isn’t nearly enough time.

Yeah there’s a few factors that affect germ speed in my experience. The main one being the age of the spores. Fresh prints can germ in a few days where as older spores (especially on swabs) can be a bit more stubborn. People including myself have had success hydrating old spores with some sterile water to kickstart them back into life. Like AKA says though, always give them at least a couple of weeks. On more than one occasion I’ve gone to throw a germ plate away only to notice the beginnings of germination 2-3 weeks down the line.

Little pin poking through the clouds. Spotted first pins on Friday along the edges, but happy to see some in the middle.

Second flush looking beautiful. Love the purple-ish hue.

Lovely! Any reason you went for a Martha over say a shoebox or a (mini)Mono?

Thanks SwabMarley!
I already had my martha setup for growing pans, so I decided to toss a tub in there to see how it performed versus another dubtub outside of the tent. The one in the martha had faster growth, bigger size, and better cap development. Same culture.

Well then there we have it! The Nats you have seem to grow better in ‘pan conditions!’ These things just keep on surprising me!! Nice work!

I know that others have grown some real monster Nats, but I’ve always produced good numbers of smaller fruits. This is my biggest, 15g fresh weight. Hoping the others in this tub play Follow the Leader.
