Thanks for the info. Didn’t know that about cedar. The others ive just never used. Picked from random wood patches, just never sought out anything but alder or maple for my things. I need to expand my horizon's.
a friend one time told me, the biggest and baddest azzies he ever found, and the most potent were growing off a pallet near the dump. Lol. I believe him too, because he got me into the mushrooms.

Took a transfer on the 15th from a plate that’s just been sitting in the fridge since 2022. Didn’t skip a beat. The swab it came from was labeled azurescens Greys Harbor. I planted this in several spots and it’s still here and there but it’s never thrown a fruit. Not sure if I gave what it wanted. And want to try this culture again. Quote:

That’s hilarious, there’s a cut of cactus called landfill or something that’s supposed to be a real strong one. Rumor has it they found it in a landfill, I’m always trying to get them onto scrape wood and dunnage.

I found a picture of some chips at one of the local parks where I planted this one on 1/22/22, there’s still mycelium that bruises blue where i planted it at least but never found any fruits. This chip bed was just the spray from the chipper left on the ground, mostly alder, and maple, logs in background. Months later they scooped it up from there and used it to mulch around the picnic of tables, but haven’t seen it around them. There is so many trees and limbs on the ground there after this last storm passed through that there’s going to be chips all Over that place!

I think genetics are to thank but also that if its wet enough with enough leaves and pine needles maybe its more tolerable.
That I would require proof of to believe.
Right? Cyans on pinecones?!?

I used to make Pseudotsuga cyan bombs by inoculating piles of cones. Just ride by on bike and chuck at likely area.

While in bag the pucks continued to colonizing and these would be great to chuck into piles all over [image][url=https://files.shroomery.org/files/22-007/506445415-D0D0A390-FEB6-48C8-B547-571DE2252A9F.jpg[/image]
