Yes, some genetics will even grow it on the pelius. Some people will say it’s from it’s from lack of air exchange which is inaccurate.

Yep "fuzzy feet" happens. I've only noticed a difference of it not happening when I had better FAE.

That's not mycelium, I mean I could be wrong but it's like a mold or something to me.

When scraping it off something that's been dried it makes the stem soft and powdery, plus it was like the worst allergies possible.

Runny/stuffy nose for 12 hours. Two times in a row not just coincidence.

Increase your FAE

It's fuzzy feet, mycelialish growth on the stipe, no big deal.  It's indicative of a bit more CO2 right at the substrate surface.  You can eat it without negative effect. If it bothers you, you can make it not happen by hitting your tub once a day with a hair dryer for three seconds to mix the air up, when the fruits are like an inch tall. But there is nothing at all negative about it.

I'll also say it's fuzzy feet. I see some pseudomonas in that first picture as well so definitely some bacteria riding along in there. Again not the end of the world but they also generally mean indicate you need more fae. If they were my fruits I'd more then likely still use them but make tea instead of eating them.

Edited to add a pic of what I'm talking about.

:whathesaid:

I´d say a relative mild infection.
By the look of the caps you can tell
they had too much moisture on them.

Glad to learn what that fuzz is. I have it on my first two tubs but ate them anyway and no ill effects.

Thank you for this post, I'm still a newb in a lot of ways but I'm trying to learn and it's the attention to detail and correct diagnosis that makes me feel stupid and I love it. You guys are awesome I have so much to learn and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to learn from people that know about certain subjects.

I never got the opportunity to learn science, biology or chemistry because of a fancy Christian school that hated science because it tried to disprove God. Instead of loving on science and challenging it to try to prove or disprove.

I'll try to not try so hard to help where I don't fully understand at times, I'm just bored and feel bad I was never part of the community earlier.

Love you guys your awesome once again!

Don't worry man as long as you put forth the effort to learn and aren't giving wrong answers on purpose for malicious reasons I think your good to go. I too have had to relax a little and only try to comment on things I'm pretty darn certain of. Good thing about this community is that you get answers from more then just one person.

On my first few grows I thought everything was mold

Yeah I love this place. I'm so bummed I wasn't a part of the community earlier...

Thanks for being patient with me

Hey everyone, thanks for all the insightful responses !

I actually have another variety I'm experimenting with, PESA, that seems to be facing a similar challenge with fuzzy feet.So I have these in fish tanks. The only difference between these two grows (see pictures above and below as well.) is the tank size: the first is in a 15-gallon tank and the second in a 29-gallon.

Even though I'm manually fanning them occasionally, the fuzzy feet persist. I'd love to hear your thoughts if its still related to FAE or could be something else.

and here are the tank sizes as well

No it´s not related to it.
In most cases it´s pure genetics,
but it can be forced up with lack of fae.
Some get fuzzy feet no matter how much fae you give,
so please never fan directly to get rid of it.
Don´t fan in general
