Wondering if anyone with medicinal fungi knowledge might be able to help one of the poor uninitiated if they know of any mushrooms which are useful for antioxident, anti-inflamatory benefits?
I seem to have got myself some nerve tissue damage living off grid without heating (peripheral neuropathy I think) and am about to try hemp oil, blueberry powder and feverfew, but being a full believer in the potential healing of mushrooms id love to start trying some fungi soon as...
Im sort of hoping theres something which might help grow back damaged nerve cells similar to neurogenesis type benefits.
Anyone had experience of similar, know of anything, maybe books etc, it'd be so welcome...its annoying af because ive cold bathed for 3 years and love it...
I guesson the plus side at least theres something enjoyable about experimenting with new mushroom remedies!

Hi man, sorry to hear about your pain, I've experienced similar stuff on & off over the years.
In terms of anti-inflammatory mushrooms I know Ps Natalensis has been studied for their anti-inflammatory effects: Phytochemical, Cytotoxicity, Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Psilocybe Natalensis Magic Mushroom
Also Lions Mane has been shown to have the potential to alleviate neuropathic pain & activate peripheral nerve regeneration: Hericium erinaceus (Bull.: Fr.) Pers., a medicinal mushroom, activates peripheral nerve regeneration
As always do your own research but I hope you can get some relief from these.

Ah, I never even knew Psilocybe was anti-inflamatory! Cheers for making them even cooler..got Lib Caps but not taken many since autumn, serves me damn right for not indulging maybe
A stroke or two of the Lionsmane...going to have to...really appreciate the link there to try and suss out something other than pharma...
So do you get any swelling or tingling type symptoms then? I'm thinking to try comfrey oil for an anti-inflamatory as well...it used to be considered a wonder drug but then this scientific study came out where they fed rats about 100 times their body weight of comfrey and concluded that it shouldnt be ingested by humans!

Lions mane is supposed to help with peripheral neuropathy. I got some to try for it but wasn't consistent with my usage.
