There's alot of info on this website. If you look around enough, you should be able to find what you need. Just make sure you have a positive id. Whereabouts in Wa are you?

Now it's dumping over even on the dry eastside of the state. Rain all day today, gotta love it. I hope to check a couple of oyster spots at least

Hey, I picked a few in both March and April and then again with Mycoguy and his girlfriend in May.

You need to get off of your butthole and take a hike.

Thats how most people find them. Sooner or later, boom! There they are.

And for soem who do not find them. Well maybe they were not meant to.

Remember this is a shroom hunting forum. Not a shroom hook-up link.

Humm that is a strange response, especially after re-reading my post, and I've yet to read ANYWHERE that I said HOOK ME UP? I simply mentioned my area and said WHERE?

Considering others have mentioned there "general" areas, (eg Bellingham)
how much of a difference is it to mention mine and say "I'm not sure where to look". If someone said check stan sayers park, would that be a bad thing? Is it a secret? Is that a drug hook up?

I'm a very mild mannered and I believe my comment was not infammatory. Yet to receive a response "Remember this is a shroom hunting forum. Not a shroom hook-up link." was rediculous and uncalled for.

Most people DONT know where to look or where to go, and if they DONT know what better place to ask except the community where people are knowledgable? Even you mentioned Kent/Auburn areas. Are you now supporting "drug hook ups?" I dont live in those areas and I was curious if there were places close to my area.

Considering your well known status here on this forum I'm saddend and disapointed by your response.

I figured these "side post" where like this, I'll just stay on the beatin' path, and stick with the cultivation forums, grow logs and the sponsors forum. Thanks for your response(s) as I will now try to stay out of your way.

Hint: Right now you should be lookin for Stunzii, in the fall it will be cyanescens, which will be your best bet.

Nobody is going to hand you spots to go picking at, that would be retarded. Why would someone who has a great spot in a park go, Hey go check out this place it's where I pick all mine, Now not only is there more competition but other people may be aware of that spot besides yourself, this is a public forum and it's not unlikely that unwanteds come around here.
Your best bet is taking the mushrooms names I gave you and doing searches for them then learning about them and just hunting for yourself. Like he said it isn't a drug hookup, noones going to say go pick the mushrooms at the corner of 5th and 3rd.

Good luck - @cro

no ones trying to discourage you, but we dont want our favorite patches to get blown up!  i had many days in the fall coming home empty handed; ya just gotta get out there and look.

look up in the FAQ what cyans grow on (woodchips) and more details on their characteristics (be sure not to get the deadly Galerina) and go out and look!

dont just stick to growing, picking is sooo much fun.  if you live in seattle/renton, just go to anywhere you might think has woodchips.  anywhere... and eventually you will find something.

Yes your right, it would be retarted for someone to say go to "Green lake in the fall", or "Gasswork park",  or "try the fields of Nathan Hale high school".  Silly, silly me.  How could I have been so terribly stupid for asking such a question.

I appreciate your quick response, and sharp wit in handling such a stupid question, it wont happen again.

Oh by the way, I'll take my "drug hook up activities" somewhere else :nonono:

Thanks for understanding  :smirk:

If you're not willing to put in the slightest effort, don't expect others to do it for you.
You have been given enough information to do the research needed.

Please do.  Everyone was giving you good advice and all you did is bitch about not getting areas to pick handed to you.  From the looks of it, you already know of at least one decent spot, so wtf are you even asking for other peoples hunting grounds for?  Find your own places to pick if you want more, like everyone else has to.

I'm locking this post, it's gone off topic and frankly your last few posts in this thread just kind of irritate me, it's called mushroom HUNTING for a reason.
