People who never do what they talk about doing. 1

I am sure everyone knows someone like this.
They have conversations with people and say they're going to do something. Not thinking about it, these people seem to just confidently say they're flat out going to do something.
I tried to tell someone that they do this. This type of person immediately argues and never listens and simply says "Everyone does that"
It doesn't register with them that setting a precedent for talking about shit they never do is off putting to everyone around them. Ultimately you just have to tell them that you don't want to hear about it until they've done it. 99/100 times something you say you're going to do never even begins to materialize you've now conditioned me to never want to hear your plans you don't take step one to make happen.

Those types of people are untrustworthy. Actions speak louder than words. Next time this person you're talking about says something like that, I'd just say, "no, you won't."

I would genuinely encourage them as in you can do it : )
Or tell people good job
Instead of focusing on anyone else. I'm just going to keep on progressing. Don't get stuck but be free
Bicycling like a earth worm. Going a greater distance and back with time
Progress yourself and others will also want to progress. As I've seen people progress I wanted to as well
Being the change you want to see and lifting one another up

I have done this. It's like their flabbergasted that you realize that they don't ever get around to those things. I've even explained it to them.

You probably can't make other people the way you want them to be, but you might be able to help yourself be less frustrated with them.
You probably also have blind spots that are annoying to other people. You might have an easier time bringing your own blind spots to light than helping someone else see theirs. People generally are more open to help when you come across as accepting, caring and non-judgmental.

There was an episode of hoarders or some show about hoarders where this old woman kept talking about becoming an opera star and a lawyer. It was just sad. That's how I feel about people who never do the things they want to, it's sad. I don't think they're bad people or anything, I just think it's really sad that they seem unable to do the stuff they want to do.

I know a guy who says "Yeah, I'm so down, Lets DO IT!!!"
But then never does anything.
Talking to one of my buddies in europe about maybe coming over next year when I take a semester off from school. My friend overhears this conversation on the phone and comes over to talk to this guy on my phone because we are all friends. Starts saying how he really needs to go over to europe and he is so down to go in a month... like we are in school?!?! how are you gonna go there with no job and debt?!?! Then proceeds to get mad at me for getting "mad"...
