Grind the weed up and spread it evenly on a baking sheet, bake it for 45 minutes at 240f in the oven. Enjoy the fumes. Double boiler or slow cooker, coconut oil. Get the oil to 165 F, dump in ground up baked weed. 1 oz per cup of oil. Allow 90 minutes for the oil to absorb the thc, stir occasionally, maintain temp between 160-180 F. Strain out weed. Stir in 1 tbsp sunflower lecithin per cup of oil. Let cool and drizzle onto food / into drinks / substitute for oil/butter in baking recipes but don't exceed 350 F.

what's even better is, I just de-carb mine and throw it into a smoothie. I was high from morning until the next day, the other day, from this very concoction

For absolutely simple and easy cannabutter, from a post I made 12 years ago.

But my preferred method is the slow cooker. I use 5.5 oz of trim to 4 lbs of butter, in a Hamilton Beach crock pot ($45 on Amazon) set to "warm", for 48 hours. Note, you'll have to re-set the crock pot every 15 hours or something, as it has an auto-shutoff timer. To the point, this method of making butter is hands off, just stir it a couple of times throughout, strain, and you'll have some KILLER cannabutter.
The 5.5 oz of trim to 4 lbs butter typically yields about 5 - 5.5 cups of finished product.

A crock pot warms between 165 to 175ºF, much lower and longer than decarbing at 230ºF for 30 min.
seems like a good method, then you strain the spent leaf. oooohhhh man holy shit that sounds good

Do you decarb the bud beforehand? I could be wrong buts it's always been my understanding that thc does not become bioavailable until at least 225 degrees F

I don't, however I believe that the crock pot brings the solution very near to that temperature, whether it is slightly below, perhaps, but perhaps the prolonged exposure at the slightly lower temp compensates? Rest assured, the results have been fabulous. If I do it again, I'll try to remember to take a temp measurement, but honestly it takes me YEARS to go through a batch of my cannabutter!

You know what I do with it?
I decarb it, and I mix a half ounce to an ounce in a smoothie. I have extremely high tolerance.
But yeah, you will be on cloud nine for two full days that way

Ive made Herb Mac n Cheese once with dry flower. I used about an eight or so that my friend gave me. I didnt even decarb or anything. Just made box Mac n Cheese and added ground up weed to the mix.
It actually tasted really good! Problem was i ate too much and got way too high. One of the most frightening edible trips of my life. That feeling of dying if when you are not actually dieing, the worst....

I could air fry some weed at 230°F for 30 minutes. Then make some food with it, get mad high

if you can get high without baking it, maybe I could try that. but if baking it gets you higher that's the point. if the weeds in foil I don't think air frying would hurt it.

as long as its at 230, air frying wouldn't hurt any more than baking. You could probably shave off 5 minutes since it would heat more evenly.

I bake at 230, for 35 minutes, and it does the trick every time
I wasted so much weed before I learned to decarb. And no matter how much I consumed, it was totally inactive.
