with reishi i've found that it can take a bit longer to see fruiting.  i waited until it started to fruit inside the bag before taking the top of the bag off.  once the antlers reached near the top, i cut open the top, leaving tall sides to increase co2 around the antlers which encourages antler growth. once they grew taller, i removed more bag to increase fae and they grew some small conks.  play around wtih it, have fun

I inflated the bag and made sure the filter patch is at the very top, haven't opened it since, I like your idea! It makes me interested in placing the substrate inside more decorative containers. I'm a big fan of plants/projects that I can watch change slowly over time. It being so good for your health is ab added bonus. This batch will go to a tincture once its ready for harvest.

a Doing some reishi art. Broke up the block when it was fully completed and transfered to the jars. Took it about a week to turn white and fluffy again.

I made a 1 gallon LC with  Black Oyster.

Then added wood pellets over a couple of weeks to the LC until full in the random  idea that it would get ready to eat wood as the sugar ran out.

Then use that liquid to hydrate a lime and MM bucket, so no water just LC

Here it is a 2 weeks

Too early to call a success.but clearly then its an OK approach if you want to for some things.

I am trying to nail a non sterile way to grow.  IN hindsight buying a block from local mush farm was the easiest way. But local is a 30 -40 min drive out of my way and I like messing about so...
