SSRI effect after taper? What's the general consensus now

I have read quite a bit about how SSRIs affect the experience of mushrooms and I am still sorting it all out. I tapered off of Sertraline (Zoloft) a couple of weeks ago after years of being on it and then 2 weeks after finishing the taper I did 2g mushrooms. It was all fine, but pretty minimal as far as the effects, and definitely not a "trip." Of course I will take more on the next "try" and maybe it will be more profound, but I was a little disappointed.
Some of the personal reflections I have read online say that the SSRIs prevention/reduction of the effects of psilocybin and mushrooms last much longer - some say 9 months to a year after stopping the SSRI. Is that generally accepted to be true?
I know it's different for everyone, but I am wondering what my thinking should be. I am so eager to make progress towards personal growth and a pharmaceutical free existence that 9 months is kind of depressing. Thoughts?

My wife took an ssri for a year or so and quit 4 or 5 months before taking 2gr. She didn’t feel anything and the shrooms were super potent. I took the same amount and it was a significant trip. So I’m thinking it may be at least 6 months. That’s just her experience tho and it wasn’t on Zoloft so who knows.

From what I’ve read it seems to be different for everyone.
2g of cubensis isn’t usually that strong anyway. Sounds to me like the shrooms worked and that maybe taking more will get you to where you want to be.

Neurochemistry is extremely complex and individual. SSRIs actually change your brain structure and it does take time for that to go back to normal after stopping.
You're just off the Sertraline now. Give yourself some time to readjust to being back. It will be hard for a while, but you can absolutely do it. One day at a time.

Thanks - Yes, I am hoping a higher dosage will offset the lingering SSRI effects, since waiting 9 months to a year seems daunting. I have read a lot and am ready for the next stage. My mind has been opened and I believe in the science of it and I am hopeful for its ability to help create change. Like a lot of people, psychedelics were not seen as a practical or helpful option for so long, and I feel like a window has been opened. Thank you Michael Pollan! lol
I will report back. Now I have to wait 2-3 weeks to try again with a higher dose.
