My plants are small for 4wks veg tomorrow. I left them in solo cups longer than I wanted to. Once they were uppoted they started growing faster. I also topped them yesterday so they may take some extra time. I'm expecting a 6-8wk veg

Make you some lactobacillus spray or buy a good garden spray so you don’t have to deal with bud rot and mold… looking really good! What strains you growing? That one is huge!!
Whether Topped or not the plants will eventually make its way through the wire as I’m not around to monitor them on a daily Basis. Honestly am just going to try my best to promote low humidity and let the air flow. But the weather sometimes doesn’t like to play fair.

As for the strains, I’m not too sure. I planted a mix of bag seed and the last few feminised seeds I got from dutchland back in 2019. The seed strains were labeled. But I didn’t bother labelling after planting so I have no idea what’s what.

So, does anybody know the latest plants can be put out in early spring and still finish flowering without reverting back to vegetative growth?
Like, could I put them out sometime in March, and them still be able to finish without reverting?
Or, Would the increasing daylight hours cause them to re-vegetate?
I don't like waiting all the way until October to smoke, and an early harvest would be great to get me through until then.
Thanks

@ PizzaWizard that's impressive! I want to try mainlining sometime. I imagine it's a bunch of pruning at the right time....

fuckin power has been out all day.... hopefully my plants don't freak out too much when the lights get turned back on for tomorrow's cycle since my power isn't supposed to be back on until later this afternoon(after my light cycle goes off)👎

Yeah, I'll be putting out clones, got em in the works now! I'll go ahead give it whirl.
Thanks for the reply, and good luck if you decide to do so as well

Another reason why I don't grow indoors.
That sucks bad, but don't stress it, they may be just fine

I wish I was far enough away from people to grow outdoors... my neighbors are too close plus I'm in an illegal state😥

I'm in illegal sate as well, but I have huge patches of woods and vacant fields all over.
Living in rural areas are key

I live in a rural area, just can't grow outdoors... too fuckin hot and too much work lugging water into the woods for me... tried that last year, plants burned up in a few days of me not being able to get out to water

It's hot as shit here, and we have yearly summer droughts.
Somehow my plants always make it, and a few of them went the last two months of their life with not a single drop of water last season.
Cannabis is very drought tolerant, and I have never lost a plants due to heat or lack of water.
It also helps to plant in a places that have a high water table, like near creeks, but even my upland plants survived with little to no water whatsoever.
My only problem was deer and groundhogs, but never a lack of water or heat.
I also take my clones/seedlings out as soon as the ground is warm enough in my backpack, so they have the whole spring and summer to create a massive root system, which helps when the drought hits

I just uppotted these from 16oz plastic tumbler cups( a bit larger than solo cups btw). I’m going to let them veg for 3 or 4 weeks then flip to 12/12. These still haven’t been sexed ho let hope for some females!

we had 30+ days of 100-110°F last summer and I couldn't carry enough water to my plants, plus drought... couldn't get to my plants for 5-6 days sometimes

Damn, I had no idea!
Well, we don't even get remotely that hot!
Yeah, cannabis can not survive without water in conditions like that. I think we only saw about two weeks worth of 90's.
We just have drenching humidity here, with average temps in the mid to high 80's in the summer.

Just a lil anecdote from what I've seen with the plant....
About 6 years ago I had 2 plants that sprouted from some seeds I pulled out of some SFV-OG I grew the year prior...I forget if the plants turned out to be males or why I didn't want to grow them out all the way, but I stopped watering them one day just to see how long they could go with out water since I wasn't planning on growing them out/flowering em.
The 2 plants were in a 25 gallon fabric pot together, the soil/substrate was "roots organics original". The plants received direct sun almost the entire day from sunrise to sunset. Daily temps were around 95F to 105F with humidity around 15% to 25%.
Even after a full week of no water the plants were still looking healthy. IIRC around day 9 they started to droop a bit and showing signs of needing water. I think I pulled em' around 10 or 11 days after no water, they were looking sad/droopy but still could have perked back up with a watering.
No doubt the strain/genetics play a big role in it all, some strains/genes being more tolerant to heat/drought than others...but in general it seems like the plant is pretty tolerant to drought/heat IME. I've never had a plant become stressed from heat, or at least it never visually displayed any signs of such, even with a week+ of 100F to 110F temps. The summers where I used to live/grow were basically 90f to 100f from mid April to late September, some weeks/heat waves around 105f to 110f, a few days up around 112ish.
From what I've seen growing outdoors, the plant can really take a lot of heat & low humidity....tho of course the plants are much happier basking in 80 degree temps versus 100+, they can take the heat with little to no issue.
