I did debt collection/repo for awhile and that’s how I got my 65” plasma. Her son helped carry it to my truck. Tv still works

My recent TV purchase was based on what I could easily carry. Cost about $120.

My 12 year old 47” high definition weighs at least three times as much as my current 60” in my living room. I thought that was interesting. The 60” has all the new features and should be better as far as picture but it’s crazy how they have reduced the amount of shit inside there.

Back when plasmas were new I knew a guy that was burglarizing Best Buys at night for big screens. Ended up getting busted eventually when his buddy who jumped bail or some such came to party in their hotel room and the cops showed up shortly thereafter. Busted em with like 8 big plasmas, a couple oz of meth and loads of cash. Dude got charged with receiving stolen property for 2 tvs. Nothing else made it into evidence.
What was he gonna do? " Excuse me, your honor, but I should have been charged with several more serious crimes!"

lol, that's crazy.
Plasma's are pretty valuable these days. Everybody has realized they look great (picture wise). Since they haven't been produced for like a decade because LED's are so much cheaper, there is a market for good plasma TV's. Though they are super power intensive. My brother in law and his family moved homes and when they took their plasma tv off the wall the plaster was scorched. Not joking. I saw the scorch marks. That's how hot that thing got.
Anyways, tv's are pretty dumb. I don't know why I have three (I actually had four but gave one to my ex wife). Actually I do know, my ex wife did nothing but watch tv.
To get back on topic, Trump is still a retard. His lawyers are arguing he is allowed to assassinate political rivals. It's embarrassing.

It's not that he's allowed, per se. The argument is that he's not necessarily allowed but he can't be prosecuted unless Congress impeaches and convicts first. Still an insane proposition but slightly different from total immunity.

Right?
He is proposing that he can murder opponents and get away with it if Congress does not convict him, this means that he can murder people in congress who would convict him. It's like killing the jury at your own murder trial and being legally allowed to do it.
I have no doubt that Clarence Thomas will support that view.

Then the argument goes to what if one were to kill members in the senate then no one’s left to impeach.
It’s all rather redonk.

If that's what the court decides, Biden better strike first, then.
If we don't do it, they will, and whoever does it first wins forever.

I mentioned Congress in terms of impeachment, and they can do some things in regard to that but it is the Senate, as you mention, that acts as the jury for Impeachment.
My apologies for posting on that before I had checked the veracity of what I was writing.
My mistake.

It's even better because he has multiple gag orders in his numerous legal cases because Trump specifically has attacked various people involved in the case.
That said, he got impeached twice. If Trump gets elected again, I guarantee he will be even more retarded. So the impeachments (emphasis on plural) seem likely. He's just too dumb to rein it in. Since these things takes serious effort to deal with, he will do even less than he did in his last term. Which is impressive.

I honestly don’t see how the Supreme Court can rule definitively on Trumps immunity without considering the facts determined at trial. There are the official presidential acts that he would have immunity for, so one question the trial will determine is whether his efforts to influence the results in states was done in an official capacity. That won’t happen, and Trump will appeal again.
I fucking hate how every stupid little legal trick they come up with becomes a matter of importance that must be reviewed by the Supreme Court.

In the Ruby Ridge case the federal sniper murdered a woman holding a child, was convicted and later had the conviction reversed on the basis of sovereign immunity.
There is a legal precedent for claiming that government officials have immunity for murder because they are government officials.
So it can be rather easy for the Supreme Court to side with Trump, even when it comes to the idea of literally assassinating Senators to prevent a conviction. Given how corrupt the Supreme Court is, the outlook doesn't look good. I don't believe that Roberts is corrupt, but that might make no difference here.

I don't disagree.
It is just the only case I am aware of where the deliberate killing of innocent people was found to be allowed upon the basis of sovereign immunity.
Still things like COINTELPRO and the proposed Operation Northwoods are disconcerting. In the former the FBI repeatedly assassinated people whose politics they disagreed with. From the Wiki on COINTELPRO:
Quote:
Many of the tactics used in COINTELPRO are alleged to have seen continued use including; discrediting targets through psychological warfare; smearing individuals and groups using forged documents and by planting false reports in the media; harassment; wrongful imprisonment; illegal violence; and assassination.
Because of this it can be argued that killing those whose politics you disagree with is a legitimate and acceptable part of government function aka part of the official duty of office. All that is required to justify it is that the person doing or ordering the killing thinks that it is in the best interest of the nation.

Trump said about Jimmy Carter at his wife’s funeral that Carter was a very happy man because he’s really old and Biden is making him look good.

Many many people are like that. People are that way with religion and ideology, without real love and philosophy (which includes scientific reasoning), and I'd also say when they are without psychedelics.
The people have entrusted many of the wrong people. Things should be much more transparent in a democracy. This is not a democracy. If it is, it is one at the edge of collapse. It is a complete and utter disgrace. The rampant greed and deliberate distortion, and extortion is just disgusting.
