This is where we share our ghost stories and experiences. They don’t have to be explicitly yours, but they do have to be something that you believe legitimately happened.
Here is a link to mine. Tell us yours.

Did something go missing from here? I thought there was a long ghost post somewhere I was meaning to get back to.

There was 😅 In the first couple sentences, they even said they felt uncomfortable putting it here.

Happy Shroomiversary syncro!
Ok, OK! Forgive me father for I have syn(cro'd)- it was I, Lithop, who done the dirty delete on my ghost story!
Apologies, but I felt really weird about leaving it out in the wild like that. I'm feeling a little self conscious or something about my prescence on shroomery at the minute and perhaps should have considered more, before posting something that I didn't feel 100% comfortable with being seen... Again, my bad mate.
I'll PM you it since I'd typed it in a notepad APP, but sorry if my removal of it has derailed any potential public discussion on- what I also find to be- a deeply fascinating subject! Feel free to assign me my shroomery pennance lol.
Hope more cool stories are shared/ the thread still gets some traction...

I was watching some anime and thought of this thread and Genesis Corrupted, because he likes ghost stories and anime.
Requiem From the Darkness is some ghost story anime, in a Japanese context, that is on Amazon right now.
This is the closest thing to a ghost story that I know. I don't believe in Ghosts but am open to the idea of them and am interested in stories as well.

Not to derail further, but do you remember that web comic that went around years back where there was... Don't want to ruin the fun since it's linked- made me shit my little pants as a teen lol.
EDIT: Spoilers Don't think that copy has it on TBH, but it used to have a script (or something) on those motion panels near the end so you couldn't control your mouse and made a proper crackly moaning noise as the panels animated. Good stuff and quite creative in the best era of creepypastas back then.

From the outside of course I think we would say there is nothing wrong with posting that out here, but I get that it is deeply personal history. I'm often now writing stuff up, not on the personal level or caliber of your testimony, but still not posting though it was with the intention.
It seems coming out of the new year juncture there is tendency to lack of stability though it doesn't seem necessarily bad per se nor unproductive. It is like the sails ruffling moving into a good tack with momentum. When some things seem paused, others are moving.

Where are all the ghost stories? I will add some of my own then to keep this thread open in the hope that others will contribute. I'll add that I have had ghost visits all my life, not a whole lot but enough that I no longer freak out when they occur. They nearly all happen when I am sleeping or meditating. They will simply interrupt my dream usually to ask a question or for help in some way - like this one below:
I was meditating early in the morning (about 4 am which is what I do now I'm retired) when a man in his thirties entered my dreaming space. He was a little upset as he told me that his wife and daughter had been involved in a car accident and that his wife was in a coma in hospital in a very serious condition. He then said that his daughter was, 'allowed to go early'. Those were his words and I didn't quite understand what he meant by it.
As I tried to work out what he wanted I noticed a little girl, maybe eight or nine years old, standing beside me. She had freckles, and reddish hair, it was long and straight, she smiled up at me as though saying, 'can we go now, please?'
She was clearly very happy and excited to get going. She took me by the hand and together we walked forward into a golden mist. Yes, I know, it sounds like everyone else's death-like experience, but that's what happened. After a few metres the little girl became really excited, she kept glancing up at me expectantly. In a few more steps, we stopped. I heard voices and then faces appeared from out of the mist. The little girl looked up at me, her smile was of a happiness that only comes with the recognition of loved ones. She looked at me once more, smiled brightly then dropped my hand. She quickly stepped into the mist and disappeared.
I came back to consciousness and lay in bed pondering the experience. These are spontaneous and just happen, I don't have a great deal of control over them. This was such a nice experience too, there was no sadness, no pain, no fear, just complete joyfulness. The golden light? Well, it came from the mist that appeared around us.
I haven't heard from the man who came to me that night, nor do I know what happened to the girl's mother. This is just one experience, an interesting one too.
