Matts.

Could you give me a link or thread that would help me with the casing? I have a 4 quart PC. But I've read that casings can be done in the microwave.

Those mycobags are $15(small bag) per bag??? That's expensive. ARe they reusable?

Storage of a casing...could it be used in the cooler I have, with the humidifier setup?

Just curious. I haven't done cakes. I have my set up ready for them. I get my spores today or tomorrow.

Any leads would help me. Just trying to do the best for my money.

>cakes are a waste of effort

I disagree.
Of course there are more efficient methods, but to get one starred with this hobby, cakes are still very good and relatively easy.

matts, you left out simmering in your post. Do you skip that step?
