Hell yeah. Needs to be more indoor attempts with these anyway imho. What is in your sub mix for those, TCO?

I was going to send it to you but I don't think customs would agree. You're cold room is awesome!
Yesterday the room was at 53F so it might be just about right. Heat is set at about 50ish so the pipes don't freeze in one of the walls. I'm running low on tubs so I might bag this one.
Speaking of cold fruiters.. Gandalfiana is now mostly independent of the dwindling agar wedges. Once these colonize I may move it to something similar to the Aztecorum test sub with a little more wood options.

That one should be 30/30/30 coir, wfp, straw, with the remaining 10 manure, and a little verm. Maybe a little worm poo. Pretty sure anyways. Had to start a log book to track everything and it's at home right now. The main three are correct though.

Ah yes, my eyes are definitely not what they used to be either, thank you so much, a lot of work went into them, do you mean this one.

It's Psilocybe aucklandiae, cultivated specimens.

A few thoughts come to mind: you can try casing it with a normal casing and seeing if you can trigger pinning that way. You can also add some leaf debris to make more of a woodsy surface habitat for them. I think it will be important you lower their temp to or below 60F to initiate pinning

Thats so cool! Yeah, I think the outdoor ones will always be best with stunztii from the very few times Ive seen them. Truly a wild species.

Sounds like you're getting snow too. We got a little over night but most of it is supposed to miss us. Cold though. 21F right now.
A few more weeks and I might do something with this one. Still working from the other.

Looking good. If you manage to get fruits I'm going to have to come up with something to trade with as this species is just too cool looking.

Thanks!
Shouldn't be much longer and I'll have culture for trade. Just making sure there's plenty of back up right now and hoping I can time it for a spring fruiting attempt. It's cutting it close but we'll see. The LC going to grain should help expedite. I've got a couple of people here to take care of but trades for a lot of things should be happening after that.
This one is probably highest on the list atm, so if anyone has it let me know. https://inaturalist.nz/taxa/1231521-Psilocybe-chuxiongensis
In the mean time this one is in the same state as Gandalf. Don't want to cut it lol. Working from plate two which is in test jars and LC right now.

They’re so fucking cool! Pretty neat how quite a few folks found them in different locations now that people are looking for them. Makes me wonder if they occur in my neck of the woods, or maybe a close relative of them does. That hopiii, mescaloronsis, gandalfiana branch gets me wondering what the continent looked like to their common ancestor.
