Just as the title states. What is your perspective on the meaning of the experience?
When ive gone through some heavy heavy doses its like i dont know what life or existence is at all. Its like life is just life....life life life life life life life life life.....what is death? life life life life..... what is God? None of existence or life should be possible at all. There must be a higher power and we are on some journey to some unknown destination... whatever the fuck death is.
I dont know how to put into words. Anyways i would love to hear some opinions.

It's a bunch of hallucinations that eventually become so intense that all you experience is pure hallucination.

The psychedelic experience is different things on different days, it changes with life experience and is driven by who and what you surround yourself with. My experiences with LSD has me believing there is no god. We, everyone of us are responsible for this life and the lives of everyone around us, we all need to be better at being human.

a variety of dose dependent effects which extend the duration of fading brain signals so that things stack up in layers and the experience of time passing loses its hold.
layered effects include hallucination, de-personalization, intensification of senses and ideas, as well as persisting semi-autonomous entities fragmenting from your self, time stops or even reverses.
I try to steer towards living in the moment, even if it is a floppy moment.

The Psychedelic Experience is the psychological realm between the Physical World and the Metaphysical World. A state of mind similar to dreaming while awake, travelling mentally to the strange realms of the Metaphysical Dimensions within ourselves and outwards into the Great Infinite of the Multiverse.

The psychedelic experience is mind-manifesting

I think there's a common core to a lot of psychedelic experiences which boils down to a realization along these lines (the quote below is from an old thread here: Re: The sad truth about drugs like DMT)
Quote:
I think the trips do quite often come through with a clear message...
What seems to come through clearly from my shroom trips is that consciousness is more fundamental to reality than "matter" as such, reality itself is not strictly real, more like some kind of deliberate simulation, which means death is not real, we are not alone and there are other entities controlling the underlying reality which is all ultimately part of one single unified consciousness that you can experience by obliterating your conscious experience right back to its core.....

A similar idea (related to a wider range of experiences, not necessarily psychedelic) is the topic of a book by Jeffrey Kripal called "The Flip":
Quote:
The Flip shows us what happens when we realise that consciousness is fundamental to the cosmos and not some random evolutionary accident or surface cognitive illusion; that everything is alive, connected, and 'one'. We meet the people who have made this visionary, intuitive leap towards new forms of knowledge: Mark Twain's prophetic dreams, Marie Curie's sΓ©ances, Einstein's cosmically attuned mind. But these forms of knowledge are not archaic; indeed, they are essential in a universe that has evolved specifically to be understandable by the consciousnesses we inhabit.
The Flip peels back the layers of our beliefs about the world to reveal a visionary, new way of understanding ourselves and everything around us, with huge repercussions for how we live our lives. After all, once we have flipped, we understand that the cosmos is not just human. The human is also cosmic.
The idea here is less about taking the specific content of any particular experience literally, but more of a general theme and perspective that emerges. Personally I'm skeptical about these kinds of psychedelic revelations / realizations (as you can see in the original post I linked) but this perspective on consciousness is a consistent "message" that makes itself known during heavy trips.
Sometimes the trips really don't hold back, like I said in that old post: "I mean during a strong shroom trip it really isn't that much of a mystery, it's just a whole series of "holy fuck!" moments and a cascade of realisations..."
"This is your death. Here is your God. These are the aliens."
-------------------- I wrote that, but I meant something else

The essence of it for me is that it reveals and temporarily suspends conditioning, habits of mind. At lower doses it reveals the conditioning, at higher doses it partially suspends conditioning, and at very high doses there is no conditioning, just the black void with no one and nothing in it.
