I have a new cat * 9
    #28610222 - 01/05/24 07:52 AM (23 days, 7 hours ago)

Went outback to take a piss

So I heard something and I was thinking wtf is that ? looked around the corner and all I seen was this little cats face on a mini tin roof that connects to a pizza oven

I think it's been looking for me

So I put my one finger up at it, like 1 second. Went and got it some food and a glass of water

I named it grato which means grateful. :dancingbear:

Been worshipping it like a god

Looked it's body over and it seems ok. It just has a cold. It seemed better after it ate and stood up proud with its chest puffed out. I don't think the other cats are nice to it

We had been sitting together for hours.  Watching birds fly through clouds over the mountains. There is a rooster down there somewhere. Grato seems to like me a lot

Eventually it jumped up high on the roof to take a nap so I went inside. I'll see it later

Lots of the cats here seem to have a cold. I found another one that I gave it a pat on my bicycle and it seemed happy to see me

They need Dr Mario

Nice.  Grato seems chill

I think it's wild. Its whole underside is pretty dirty and it has fleas

seen some cats on a balcony and they look much healthier like indoor cats. Usually dogs here are used for hunting

Or you'd be surprised with all the wild dogs. They must eat well. They'll charge at your car barking but are smart. It looks like you'll hit them but you won't. I'd speed up a bit

You can't leave home without finding dogs wondering around together. The more wild ones are chill. They like to come at cars but dont mind me on a bicycle. Where as any behind a fence freak out at me as I ride by bicycling

The wild ones are more like everyone's dogs. One time I came here and one came up to jump on my lap.

I always wanted to find a pack of some wild dogs to bring in my house to be together. I'd make them a gourmet meal and we could all eat together

They are seriously chill and love any food. People eat well here. Where I've never had food this good other then when I come here. It seriously tastes different. Almost every meal back home seriously doesn't taste the same at all for some reason

It reminds me of my family's old cat named patches we were together from when I was born. They look alike

I learned how to walk with that cat. One day it disappeared when I was in the first grade. Probably got caught by a coyote. I do have strong memories of her

Something I appreciated about cats or some animals is they show a commitment and purity/ unconditional love most of humanity never could. They don't turn if you earn their trust. That trust takes time. Some of them took me years. Have to have patience

Holy smokes eggs are a thing

The article leans towards egg whites as they have less fat content, but I bet a stray would appreciate the whole thing

I love cats. My last one died while I was in the Ibogaine clinic of cancer. It had a great life tho and I knew it would happen that way.

RIP Peanut

Gopher that is wild.

"While in heat, a queen can release multiple eggs. Cats don't ovulate the same way as many mammals, including humans. Cats do not release an egg in preparation for fertilization. Instead, mating stimulates ovulation. This is known as an induced ovulator.

Queens in heat can mate with several toms over a few days while trying to find the best mate. As it takes around 2 days for an egg to travel to the uterus, a cat can get pregnant by multiple partners, as two eggs may get impregnated by different sperm attached to a queen's reproductive tract.

As mentioned, this is a process called superfecundation. Cases of superfecundation have been recorded in humans, but are extremely rare."

I have learned so much in this thread

I like the name Felix.  It's a good name for a cat.

What?!?!  Female human can get pregnant while already pregnant?  How have I not heard of this?  That's one of the biggest advantages of having sex with pregnant woman, I thought; you can't get them pregnant again   (if you're not the initial male that got her pregnant)

Very typically. Women can’t get pregnant while already pregnant because they are releasing hormones. That would tell their body that they are pregnant.

That’s how birth-control works. It releases the hormones that tell your body that you’re already pregnant. Preventing you from becoming pregnant. Typically.

And normally only one egg is released per cycle in humans. Otherwise fraternal twins would be more common.
