Can you relate to the feeling of being tempted to respond to a thread or starting a thread, but then decide against actually doing it?
Lately I often find myself in that situation and I used to post a lot on here... Now I would start typing a reply and half way through I would just delete everything and log out. It's kind of frustrating.

...and yes, I was about to log out, without pressing "Ok, submit".

Yeah, it happens to me sometimes. Or I will start a thread, and the comments are so uninteresting or so off-topic, that I dont even want to respond anymore.

That's a good question, which I've been asking myself for a while now...
Part of the reason might be me questioning whether my input is going to change anything. I have grown a lot more quiet in general over the past year.
But that can't be the only reason as it seems like others feel the same.

I, for one love debate and discussion. The more perspective that can be gained from a different point of view the better.

I enjoyed discussions and debates too and I probably still do. Like #3 just mentioned, a healthy discussion requires the right people. Often I see people just stating their points of view and defending them at all costs, if someone else comes up with their version of the truth.

Almost everyone is guilty of that at some point lol. That's what convictions usually are and some people definitely have some odd ones... I ignore it and try not to judge it is what makes people people afterall. We are paradoxical creatures which is what ends up making up able to function because at the same time we are inherently almost black and white logical.
