For me a low dose is above a microdose. I can definitely feel the effects. Things are brighter, more vivid, my mind becomes more sensitive. I'm definitely perceiving things differently. I feel more around other people. I remember taking my grandmother to the beach one last time before she died. I did a low dose of 2C-B. I could feel her smile and the sun and the water and the sand, I could feel more about how I felt and death and love and our family. At that low dose I don't worry about being overwhelmed or something too much comming up to get in the way of things.
A moderate dose is like this but more intense. Visual phenomena become more apparent. The intensity of things can begin to touch on what could feel like overwhelm, however with lots of experience this is easily navigated. It can be a little more tricky navigating the world. I remember once on acid I had layover in a busy airport. It was a little challenging processing all the information like the flight boards and getting through the maze of the terminal and making sure I was at the right gate at the right time. When i got there and sat down I could feel everyone so intensely.
A safe way to start exploring out in public as durring the after glow after a trip with a friend.

Managing a lot of pain Using different cannabis cultivars to ease pain and stabilize my mood After a recent flood and a ton of work rebuilding my pain got to a 5 Unable to sleep and the cannabis was not working as well so I tried mushrooms I had bought at a cannabis festival Got a break from the pain on 2 grams of stems using lemon tech, hope I have that right As I came down from the trip I was able to get to sleep before I was aware of the pain again Very impressed This is not pain killing I think, its different and hard to explain
I'm a newbie, rookie etc. Have some trips on my passport including mescaline (orange and yellow sunshine I believe), blotter acid and mushrooms over the decades
Sorry for the disjointed post A few hits off the water pipe using strawberry guava

I don't think there is a definite answer for this, everyone's different and problems are different. But a good start is the Mexican or Golden teacher. I think the mindset is very important, being safe, feeling safe, clean room, maybe some nice mild fragrant in the room just not candles or anything unsafe unless you have a sitter. And then there is the dose, what is your correct dose. Just start with the default, 15 - 20grams fresh or 1.5-2 gram dried. Lemon tek kicks in quick, or grind the shrooms and put them in capsules, 00 holds 0.5- 0.6g if you pack it in there.
Microdosing have given me nothing I feel, but 0.5 an hour before bed gives me a little pain relief and better sleep. The next day I always take a couple of BCAA vitamin pills 💊

Id say homegrown Cubenis is the best, specifically African Transkei. Its my favorite strain and I feel like it has the most "natural" psychedelic medicinal quality to it.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, I would argue that Dealer Cubes (Cubenis Mutant Isolates) are the worst psychedelic medicine and feel more like a party drug in comparsion.

You guys can sleep well after that? I'm only able to doze off, never stay asleep.

After all the things you've tried, Transkei is your favourite? Not "a cube is a cube?"

In my personal experience, yes there is a difference between different strains of Cubes. Its kinda subtle but I feel it. Other favorites are Mazatepeca and Huaulta.
Its similar to how there are differences between different THC genetics, but the psychedelic mushroom version.
Out of all the strains (about a dozen total), African Transkei is my favorite. I highly recommend trying it. Another favorite is APE. There's this ethereal "airy" quality to Albino Penis Envy that is just wonderful. I havent tried a big dose of APE yet, but I hope to try again this year.
Great reference for the subjective differences between different Cubenis Strains: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/15670901

Mushrooms for me are a mental health reset button. They give me a bit of a clean slate to work with, but I have to work with it. I can get back into some pretty shitty thinking fairly fast.
I haven't tried mescaline yet. I have enough Bridgesii growing for a few trips but am nervous about it's duration as well.

Cubensis is so strong lol. I took too manys maaan, too manys... now I don't know if it's a good thing or not. I spent 5 years taking moderate subaruginosa thinking I was the kang of mushrooms, but then I poorly eyed 14g cubensis and shitted bricks. There was nothing in my visual field that was not a hallucination or reacting to my thinking.

High dose psilocybin, but it'd have to be done in a serious medical setting like a hospital due to the risks involved.

If we are talking about dried mushrooms that is a BIG pile, there would need to be some serious eating to get those down.

I started with Ketamine. I did maybe 15-20 sessions over months with a physician (injections - not sublingual or IV). A few of these sessions my therapist was also present.
This opened my eyes to psychedelic treatments. The first time....I felt much better the next day. Over time I felt the improving effects didn't last long. I also felt like there might be something better out there. Ket seemed to get me 80-90% of the way to feeling better.
Mushrooms changed everything for me. I tried the micro-dosing and it didn't work for me. I also wanted change (relief) and wanted it fast.
For me it was a massive hero dose (10g) that was the most significant change and improvement in my health.
Recently I have tried DMT via the toad. I have done it twice now. The first was very interesting, but the second was underwhelming. This was in the past two months. I still don't know what to think of these experiences. But I don't feel they helped my mental health much. But I am also in a much better place since working with the mushrooms.
Mushrooms are it for me. I can grow my own and not reply on anyone. I just keep up with maintenance doses every 6-8 weeks. Sometimes more often if I have the time. Best of luck!

They were cracker dry and I was getting them down with pepsi I think, there was a bit of dry heaving towards the end, and no it wasn't 14g that I ate, that was the total batch, I must have had more like 7-8g, I was looking to do 3-4. Not used to dried mushrooms, all my sub fun was fresh eaten the day I found them. I was a little bit anxious at the time so I wasn't really thinking about what I was doing.
The trees were literally twisting and growing at me, like the real shamanic business, you think it, it happens, I thought I was screwed and I kind of was when I lay down, I mean you don't even relate to it when you get out of it, your brain snaps back to "reality".
Basically it was an oscillating between silent darkness and out on the porch and the mediation between the two - the hallway - was mostly suppressed.
LOL
