Repository of 3D Printed Gun Files and a Complete Getting Started Guide! * 2
    #28350659 - 06/07/23 09:58 AM (7 months, 17 days ago)

3D Printing has been turning out to be an incredible Freedom Tech. Allowing us to personally fabricate all sorts of useful tools, parts, and accessories from the privacy of our own home! Including things the government may not want us to have.
:wizard:

The Technology has come a long way! Check out this video of the complete History of 3D Printed guns to see exactly how far we have come.

I am not a lawyer, Check the laws in your state. Making your own gun for personal use is legal in most of the country.

I wanted to put together a Getting Started Guide, accompanied with links and videos to some of my favorite 3D gun designs available today. So lets get to it!

The Printers
There are 3 printers that I recommend right now as of may 2023

* $200 The Ender 3 v1 or the $300 v2 are Time Tested and proven to work! Not as fast as other printers, and may need some troubleshooting / tweaking to get things to come out the way that you want but for only $200
This machine is more than capable of printing Quality firearms in PLA +
Buy it ---> https://www.amazon.com/Comgrow-Creality-Ender-Aluminum-220x220x250mm/dp/B07BR3F9N6
Learn about it --->

* $700 Bambu Labs P1P +$350 if you would like the AMS System to go along with it.
This company took the market by storm with never before seen speeds and all sorts of advanced features that let you monitor and operate your printer from anywhere in the world using your Phone or PC This is their base model that comes without Walls, Lidar, and some other bells and whistles that their more expensive model has. but it is just as fast!
Buy it ---> https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/p1p
Learn about it --->

* $1700 Bambu Labs x1 Carbon Combo, $1200 for just the printer
If you have the money to spend this is the one for you! With a beautiful Glass and Metal Enclosure. Lidar, and the ability to print a single object with multiple different materials / colors at lightning speeds. This is the best printer on the consumer market today.
Buy it ---> https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/x1-carbon-combo
Learn about it ---> https://odysee.com/@3DPrint:1/bambu-lab-x-1-carbon-first-look:f

Filament
* PLA + or PLA Pro Is the Standard for 3D Printed Guns.
I recommend Polymaker's Polylite PLA Pro it comes in a variety of neat colors and is about $25 / Kilo

Buy It ---> https://us.polymaker.com/products/polylite-pla-pro

* Carbon Fiber Injected Filaments are used for Heat resistant applications. (Printing carbon Fiber Requires filament to be dried and then kept dry during printing using a Filament Dryer. Also a hardened steel nozel)

Learn about it --->

You will also need some sort of PC / Laptop / Or phone with a micro SD slot
While Bambu labs allows you to wirelessly send files to your printer, this relies on their servers which may sometimes be down. so it is nice to be able to copy your files onto a micro SD card and then put it directly into your printer
Obviously the more powerful your device the easier it will handle slicing complex objects.

There is all sorts of slicing software for your 3D Print Files.
Bambu studio is free and works very well.
Get it Here ---> https://bambulab.com/en/download

Another popular free slicer is Cura
Get it here ---> https://ultimaker.com/software/ultimaker-cura/

Now you have everything you need and you are ready to start printing!!

Printer Settings!
Most 3D gun designs especially from Deterrence Dispensed have incredibly detailed instructions that include print settings. You should follow those.
However here are some settings that I recommend for 3D printed guns and parts.

* Layer Height of 0.16mm I find this dramatically improves the quality and precision of all my prints. while only extending the print time by a small amount.

* Infill %100 this is a must! We want these bad boys to be rock solid so they can last as long as possible!

* Top / bottom Walls 8 - 10

* Build plate temp of 60c

* Nozzle Temp of 215c - 230c

* Tree Supports, if using Bambu studio, Hybrid Tree Supports are more sturdy and fail less often. Automatic supports kind of suck from time to time and I find myself having to manually add / remove supports from sensitive areas.

* Glue sticks and Brim is your friend, the last thing you want is a model detaching from the build plate 7 hours in.

THE GUNS!
Now for the fun part we have all been waiting for!

There are 3 types of Printed firearms in my mind

* Hybrid Designs, where we print the frame or receiver then install actual firearm parts onto it. these are obviously the most durable, easiest to assemble, and over all very high quality firearms.

* Fully DIY Firearms which can be made with no real gun parts, just printed parts and commonly available hardware store items like bolts and hydraulic tubing.

* Fully Printed Firearms
While these do exist These are more so statement pieces and limited in Caliber.
There is no practical reason to forgo the Structural improvements of hardware store parts.

So without further ado here are the Files for some of my all time favorite 3D Printed Firearms.

Chairman Won Glock 17 v3 (26, 19, and other models available on his Odysee)
These are some of the most beautiful Glock frames you will find. Parts needed to complete this firearm are a Complete Slide, Lower Parts Kit, Locking Block, and Rail Kit from riptide rails / Aves Rails.

Lo Point v2 This is the cheapest hybrid firearm you will find. Parts kit required to complete this build can be had for around $80 - $90 at the time of writing this.

FGC9 MK2 and the Stingray 16' barrel version
The most Iconic Fully DIY Firearm available. Designed by Jstark in Germany before he was raided by police and passed away.

This is an incredible post, and resource. Thank you for sharing!! I’ve actually always had an urge to build one of these, but really wanted the printing tech to get to a point where the receivers looks rather flawless. Maybe that time has come.

Super cool concept, printing complex machinery like this from hunks of polymer.

P80's are the most common ghost gun why not buy them already made and drill and cut as usual.
