Hey guys I'm new to this forms and the whole mushroom stuff I don't know if I'm putting the details right I know I shouldn't be capturing a lot of mushroom species in the same photo but I don't have but these photos cuz they dried out so I'm wondering which type of these are like magic mushrooms or something similar with no poison in it I'm mainly concerned about these thst look like Liberty caps so I found a bunch of them and I just want to know if it is like Liberty cap or conocybe cyanopus cuz this one is also not poisonous and has the same psilocybin but I'm mainly concerned that this might be conocybe filaris which is deadly Even though this one has rings under it's cap and none of the ones I found has any ring but some of them as you seen pictures are literally grown from cones I don't know but now I'm going to post some photos about these only and then in the comments if someone replied or something I'm going to post more photos of another shapes maybe something from them is magic mushroom they all look like magic mushroom you don't have to care about anything other than this one that I'm going to circle in red and you can just know what I'm talking about by the types in the circles there are more outside the circles that are the same type but I couldn't just scratch the whole image.

It's all junk. You might have a clitocybe dealbata there (white one) which is poisonous. Just toss it in the bin, the whole lot.

The purple ones are mycena sp, mycena purpureofusca, haematopus or similar. The small brown and off-white ones are also mycenas. Yellow ones are coprinus luteocephalus I guess, the one, or two white ones in the first photo could be clitocybe dealbata. Can't say what the larger brown ones are without more details. It's nothing you want in your mouth in any case.

And do as Towns said, do some researh! I do find posts like this funny, though. Liberty caps (psilocybe semilanceata) and conocybe (pholiotina) cyanopus grows in grass, not in cones... Btw...

Yeah, I was probably rude, but rude or not, mushrooms are nothing to play around with if you dont know your stuff

I think the yellow ones are probably Bolbitius titubans
-------------------- Disclaimer - I'm just a hobbyist and cannot absolutely guarantee any ID offered. I'm most familiar with the species found in the Pacific Northwest - those found in other parts of the world may vary considerably, so always do your own research to find out what grows in your area and what lookalikes you need to be aware of. Understand that many mushroom species cannot be 100% reliably identified by photographs alone, even by an expert, so it may not be possible to go beyond suggesting a probable genus.

Obviously that he cares mostly for the circled ones, it's stated in the barely readable intro and they are circled duh, but those mushrooms are not liberty caps nor Pholiotina, it is species of Mycena.
None of the rest are magic mushrooms either, so if you (OP) care about their identity, separate them into groups and proceed to fill the ID form and submit better pictures. While it's a long shot, consider that mushrooms pictured at #3 and #4 might be something interesting; submitting more detailed pictures and revealing your general location will help in this regard.

Was about to say, that white one I believe is pretty toxic. Junk and poison.

Picking a bunch of mushrooms and hoping some might be magic almost never works out, especially if you're finding them by the ones and twos.
It's better to take a narrow and researched approach. Start with reading up on what are the most common actives in your region. Then you study the traits of one or two target species. Then you go to those habitats specifically (i.e. grass, wood, forest etc) and look for specifically those species based on their identifiers, during their peak season.
You'll have more success with this as opposed to picking every mushroom you see of any type and hoping it's magic.
And it's ok to pass on shrooms that might be magic but you're unsure about. This isn't about getting a bunch of something you want - it's about getting NONE of what you don't want. And by NONE I mean not once - ever.

Agreed. Never hurts to collect what your encountering for id purposes and getting familiar with other species but don't put anything questionable into your mouth hoping for magic. Always a game of spot the not.
