You could have let that go a lot longer and got a lot more fruits, spores, and clones.
That biggest one that matured quick is the closest thing to an abort that I see.
It gets easier to tell what's happening as you practice more.
Most of those dark pins are almost a week old. There's definitely something wrong. The big one on the bottom right started on the 25th and stalled out fast - it was hollow when I picked it.
Still think that's just due to diversity in genetics. The first couple to mature were the black sheep and the rest of those were given priority albeit a short term back seat to the colonies progress as a whole. They were respectful enough to let those fast ones make spore but also cut them off from main supply hence their small at maturity stature. All those little guys would have grown considerably.
For example in this photo these pins are about 2 weeks old already and took another 2 to mature fully.

Here is another example of a slow culture. The youngest pin shots are at least a week or maybe two old and you can see the progress of the tub. These burst veils and crack and look wacky very early on but they really kick out the chonkers by the end.

On the bright side if that tub proves healthy, you might get a swift and fat second flush since that tub didn't spend much energy yet.
Well, shit.
I've left most of them still, since many were too small for me to properly pick. I'm gonna take your advice and LITFA.
Pic is after harvest:

Those might abort now and form new ones as often happens after a harvest. They might also just keep on truckin'. Time will tell. Also leaving that lid cracked now would be a smart move. There is no need to rehydrate if you didn't pull much off there which you didn't. Often slowness and stalling and things like that are the result of bacteria or other competition in some way. The excess water is only fuel for that fire. You can see when it gets too dry and wetting is only appropriate when it is too dry. Currently that surface is too wet.
Loss of moisture from substrate is mostly the result of fruit formation if conditions are right.
Next time. There's always a next time. This time some mistakes were made but nothing you can't bounce back from. You're doing great.
