No way to tell without knowing his entire process. The pic he posted looks fine to me.
I knock up 30+ plates with a nat print. Then transfer the 15 best germinations. Those plates get to sit until they pin and the pins go directly to grain. At harvest I start all over with the best specimen. So I’m not the best to diagnose what he has going on.
Aspect, at this point I would suggest you start with a known good culture to avoid further frustration. I only have glass plates, but if you mail me an empty petri, I’ll send you back a perfect plate, ready for grain. That eliminates a lot of variables.🤷
Good luck!
Culture (direct center and edges omitted when used to inocate) not exact plate used but same culture.

Jars

Spawned to 1:2, 1:2.5, and 1:3 straight coir on 12-23. Removed wedges when spawned. Coco bliss hydrated at 4.6x its mass in water. 6 qt shoeboxes with flipped lids at spawn.

I have recently dropped my water to 4.2x Coir and running a little under field capacity.

Is that a known good culture, or one that was grown from spore and hasn’t been fruited yet?

Someone sent me a print. I streaked 1.5% LMEA and transferred the best looking growth. Ive started from spore more times than I remember with nats but always the same results. I feel like i should have atleast gotten one pin just to clone by now. Ive been at this since last christmas lol

Maybe pour a thick plate, inoculate and forget about it until it pins. The break may ease frustration and at least then you’ll know it’s capable of fruiting. I use 400ml potable tap water, buffered to 7.8pH, 8g LME, 6g agar for what it’s worth. Sorry we’re not more help.
A known good culture is definitely the way to go.

Yeaaaa. You probably dont remember, but you told me that a long time ago.
And always the dutiful student I listened...

These are from september. I actually had more. Literally just threw out about 8 from june the other day. Never saw any pins though.
Lmao. Cant help but to laugh at all this now.

Aspect, just give it time and don't do anything to the conditions. I feel like trying to micro adjust conditions could just be throwing off the fruiting process. My first go with nats I got fruits. Everything looked sus and I just let them do their thing.
Agar

Jar

Jar looking very scary

Spawned to faht bag with some random holes poked in it... Overlayed in about a week

Left the overlay alone for like 1-2 weeks .. didn't change a thing, pins

I'm rooting for you and that tub!
Edit: here's a pic of the lil thing today mid second flush. Myc is climbing the sides of the container.

I hear you. I havent changed any conditions on any specific tub. Im talking about different things ive done with completely different grows. I dont mess with anything after spawning besides maybe flicking condensation off a lid if it gets too much. I appreciate your well wishes with my tubs.

Gotcha, yeah I barely remember yesterday!🤣 It’s frustrating but that’s exactly my point. If it’s not pinning on agar, it’s probably not going to be any different in a shoe box.

Do you guys get any kind of body load with nats? I don’t really get nausea with cubes, but my last trip I got this very odd, very challenging body load on an eighth (my highest dose to date). It was like my body was in a weird, twisted, shitty shape. Any of you guys get this kind of thing on nats (or cubes for that matter)?
And sorry to hear about your travails Aspect, but inspired by your persistence. I’m sure you’ll succeed, but if I get anything from my grow I’d happily send you whatever genetics you need.

i had some weird nausea on my last nat trip. tried to push out the spew for a while but nothing came. eventually let out a massive burp that made me feel like a sousaphone
@aspect, pretty sure we're trying the same genetics. i spawned 12/20 and 12/22 at 1:6 and it's looking similar to yours, but not as far along. the user who sent it out doesn't post much so i don't want to point fingers, but there's a pic on pg 458 in this thread of it fruiting nicely

If you got it from a marketplace giveaway recently I believe we got the same genetics.

I get spaghetties first flush. Probably less spaghetti with more fae as well. Also has a lot to do with genetics because two shoeboxes of nats yielded very spaghetti and not very spaghetti. Just lid flipped works for me, pseudocased, no overlay.

Yes! We spoke earlier. Was wondering how yours are doing. Ill take everybodys advice and be patient. Theres not much else I can do anyway.
Much appreciate everyones help and offers. You guys are too generous. This place is great.
I also have an extra nat jar I was planning on tossing but maybe ill just spawn it to a higher ratio like 1:5 and see if it does anything different.

Or just leave that nat jar and see if it pins. Then spawn it

I think this was from a different culture. I took the better half of a slightly less than perfect plate for inoculation. Something id normally never do but I had an extra jar and nothing to do with it.
