Looks good.
A sporeprint would rule out chlorophyllum molybdites which has green spores and are poisonous.

Thanks! How does one take a spore print of a mushroom whose cap hasn’t opened? (Web search tells me such a mushroom may be too immature to produce spores?)

Put the cap on something coloured (not green) since you're looking for a white or green sporeprint. Paper, for example.
You could leave it in an airtight box in the fridge as it might take longer time than usual.

No experience with shaggy parasols, but I have found C. moldybites, and this doesn’t look like them to me. Just my two cents, but better safe than sorry.

No, I'm pretty sure they're parasols myself.

Chlorophyllum sp, some people have stomach problems eating those. And yes you should always try to bruise them, it helps with ID, but it's probably rhacodes group anyway.

You should focus on true parasols if you're into edibles (Macrolepiota spp).

Thanks everyone.

Unfortunately after 24 hours in the fridge under a bowl I see no discernible spores:

I bruised this cap cross section with my thumb, is it helpful?

Tinfoil isn't ideal when checking for sporeprint colour, especially not when looking for a weak, white one.
Shaggy parasols bruise reddish, which yours do.
You should cook it thoroughly before eating it. About 5% of people are allergic to it, so it's a good idea to start out small. Enjoy! 😄

Good to hear! I really like them myself. Along with a dozen other mushrooms people would tell you to avoid 😁
Happy New year! (Sorry, trued to find a celebration kind of smiley but couldn't. You'll just gave to settle with this one. 😄)
