“I Am God and There is No Other!” The Boast of Yaldabaoth
No worries. One of my outbursts came to mind. "There is no Dharma!"

Where charity etc is sincere it is counter to ego. Ego would complicate it.

Well now you gotta read the Secret Doctrine. It's funny I don't mind either version of Eden. Psyop aside (who cares), it is for the swan to extract the milk from the water.

I'm not saying I agree with everything she says, and those parts had faded in memory, but her explorations of history and creationism are deep and unique to me anyway, but I'm kind of a literary dummy. I was attracted by the foundations in ancient Brahmanism, adding in perspective of Western Occult of which I was seeking more understanding.
I noticed you also casually threw out Agrippa at a glance it seems. These are extensive teachings and historical views.
I don't care for her views on the races, but in creationism in the subtle implications and intrigue of opposition to the church, though I have no opposition to Christianity per se.

Concerning the races though you may not be further interested which is fine, I found a preview of this article to which I'm looking for full access where the author is both separating somewhat from Blavatsky and intending to correct possible misinterpretations. I am not defending any kind of racism but interested in the defense if they consider themselves misinterpreted.

As modern scientific views will likely be considered in another century. I'm considering whether to drop $20 to get on that journal. Other pieces speak of deep complexities around colonialism in India and contradicting views among Theosophists including natives who adopted the standard. I'm more interested in the esoteric views which I hope Santucci will address.
As for Brendan's question, the conflicting stories of Eden I assume originate between early Christianity and the church, the biting of the apple bringing gnosis at Christ's urging. Theosophy appears to carry on that view.
Yogananda's teachings draw from the yogas you described in the other thread, older than his particular rise, and similar teachings are from many of the foundations there.

You're going to have to start giving the scoop some of your non-public views.
A friend has a unique kind of focus on Lilith, not about siding with a demonic version but processing while embracing a darkness of a sort. It doesn't sound to me very different than the 'clear light' which can be dark without reflection. However his seems to slant a bit darker than that, though he is a most gentle person, albeit with somewhat of a troubled past.
