The consistency of the live resin doesn't seem right unless its been decarb. it changes to almost a transparent liquid from being a opaque mass.  Maybe I don't have to totally decarb it to get the state change.

for what its worth back in the dark ages of vapes, BHO mixed with PG like a decade ago, we needed to decarb it for best effects.

I am in Michigan for christmas and the local weed store didnt have the live resin I wanted in stock, so I got a bunch of nug run live resin carts. I will mess around with filling my own soon. It seems like I can get good live resin less than half the cost of the good vapes.  Still might not be worth the effort.  Hopefully I can just heat it up and go into the vape carts without as much hassle as stringy distillate.  Grow my own weed, not sure if I want to fuck around with making vapes. I only really use them for when I travel to non legal states for work.

Decarbing will make you lose all the terpy stuff. Winterizing will lose the waxes. It's the waxes that make it hard to vape and that hit you in the lung.

This page will tell anyone interested about the easiest at-home avenues you can take into processing extracts further to remove waxes and phospholipids. (not affiliated or anything and you won't need to buy anything fancy)

When you simply decarb live resin, it's simply no longer live resin. It's closer to distillate, poor in flavour. Plus the terps also lend some fluidity to the oils so decarbing won't help there.

It seems likely to me it would even work if you just heated it up and put it in the carts as is though. Unless you got some black or brown dark stuff like back in the dark ages. If it's honey coloured you're probably good to go. Could be good to check how a dab hits you so you have a reference point, if you happen to have a dab rig or stove-top.

You should probably get rid of that humidifier during flowering brother. Normally we run a de-humidifier during flowering. Those are some happy plants! I’m curious to see the happy swirls finish… hope your holiday was pleasant and have a Happy New Year. With happy swirls oooooohhhh I’m excited! I finally got some jars jumping again after a long break…yeah man!

Thanks for the humidifier tip enjoil. Popped it in there about a week ago. Humidity level was getting down in the 30s due to the heat in the house drying shit out. I’ve only been running it sparsely.
The Cody’s 50/50 was suppose to be Photos but must have been mislabeled because there defiantly autos. There on day 25 in the tent and the swirls are at day 18. Running at 18 on 6 off light cycle. Not complaining because that just means more bud sooner

I’m exited to see the swirls out too. With the 50/50s being autos it’ll free up space in due time to let the swirls get much bigger before flipping them.

I run both all the time as long as I'm not chasing my tail.
Im going for optimum vpd though.I might not run dehu in early veg though sometimes. All I'm saying is I'd do what works for your grow.Just keep track of what your numbers are and aim for averages.

Just curious if anyone would point me in the right direction.  When doing a H202 for pest il soil/coco how much do you use? Do you just add to feed? Have never had an issue to need it before but I got some shity coco and gnats are everywhere.  Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Don't use peroxide for gnats, Bt is what you want.  Mosquito dunks or gnatrol are good options.

Edit: and some sticky traps for the adults, the cheap fly ribbons work but can get messy.

Every year when it comes time to bring in my plethora of plants for the winter,  I get a massive outbreak of fungus gnats.

that being said,  after a soil drench of hydrogen peroxide and diatomaceous earth,  the fungus gnats have no chance and I have all but wiped them out in only one application.

Then, after the soil dries, I do a full coating of dry DE on the top of the soil, and no more fungus gnats ever again.

The key is not to over water your plants,  and to bottom water them if possible

It's the same thing every year, and the fungus gnats lose every time

I've recently treated for algae with peroxide, which worked like a charm, but the couple of gnats I had (really just a couple as I do also use mosquito tablets every now and then to keep it under control) are still flying around like they did before.

Here's a pic of my current grow, after cleaning all containers and the tray and treating the bottoms of the containers and soil with peroxide. They're picking back up for sure, but harvest is going to be greatly diminished. It's looking pretty sad at the moment.

I've picked the worst leaves out, even though some of them had started to get some color back on them.

Letting the containers dry out for now. Planted new seedlings. Kinda wish I could have another go at the same line of auto's, which I kind of can since most of these I can fill another round with, but I have been wanting to test the next round of the lines I'm working myself so that's getting prioritized atm. Planted 24 seeds, going for a test and cutting run to breed out the best of them to their F2s and F3s for after next round. Hoping this mostly F2 round will bring out what I'm looking for..

I've been worrying that I should have gotten autoflower strains instead of photoperiod because there's a chance that the grow tent could be unzipped for several minutes during flower if my niece randomly decides she wants to open it.

Do you think several minutes of light exposure would mess up the flowering cycle if they were several weeks into it?

Yeah, probably best if you don't have too bright lights in the room but I doubt once is going to matter much, considering in outdoor grows it's not uncommon to use a flashlight when venturing in the garden after dark. Of course, that's considered bad practice to do too often as well, but there's no better time to catch slugs n snails then after dark.

any of you guys know of a decent brand of ph/ppm/ec tester that won't cost me $100+? keep buying the cheap ones and they fluctuate readings badly.. the last cheap ones I bought worked well and held the right reading in calibration solution forever (until it fell into my drain pan), the new ones fluctuate over night and it's beginning to irritate the hell out of me...

In my view you're better off spending more once on a decent once but hey, I'm not using meters. Can't say I can help you there, sorry!

I bought a cheaper one but I can't give any recommendations yet since I have yet to use it.

I had someone tell me the bluelab testers don't last long, I don't want to buy one and it shit out on me in 6 months... I mean if it would last me a year or two at least, then it'd be worth it for sure

I did the same thing, got those super cheap yellow ones. First one did great for two grows then fucked my third when the reading suddenly was off by like 2. I bought two more of them and neither was reliable.

I don’t remember how much it was but I got a decent one made by apera that has a case and three calibration fluids and it’s been good for a couple years now.

Here's my black domina plants for my next grow. I'm going to try 2 plants in the 2x3 tent instead of just one like I've been doing. Got about 4 more weeks left till I can put them in the tent.
