Hey family,
I'm new here. I've been a lurker for many years. I have finally decided to join the community to help myself learn and grow. Perhaps someday I can help others do the same . I am not new to psychedelics, but I am new to growing mushrooms. What an awesome hobby! I don't think I'd have had such success if it weren't for the posts here.
TL;DR: I'm new here and would like to introduce myself as well as explain my goal here.
Some background: I am quite reserved as a person and usually keep to myself. Doing posts like this is never easy for me, but getting out of my comfort zone is a good way to grow. I also need to have 10 posts to view a particular post, so here I go.
My background? I am a full-time college student and work full-time in aerospace. I have a myriad of half baked hobbies including sculpture, guitar and drums, video games, and recently mushroom cultivation. I also like building things, fabrication, and other hands-on activities. I have mild anxiety, moderate depression, enough ADHD for two people, and a slew of other issues resulting from childhood trauma. In the past my use of drugs has been to escape my feelings. That didn't work. After learning proper self care and developing my spirituality I have realized that my issues are going to need more work. I have decided to try microdosing (and macrodosing ) mushrooms with the hopes that I can unlock some path to wellness from within. I feel like I may benefit from this augmentation. If not, perhaps I will get a therapist. That or just accept that I'm different and learn to love myself for who I am. Maybe all of the above, haha!
I am currently formulating a microdose formula that will allow me to take a standardized amount of mushroom per dose. It is a fun process which will allow me to put my YouTube University Degree in Chemistry to use. I fully believe that psychedelic substances have the ability to help us in this struggle called life. I hope to find a way to put that theory in practice. Once I finish my formula I plan on posting the results, as well as a tek on here so that others may experiment with my findings. I consider myself a "citizen scientist" and plan to put every ounce of my "smarts" to work. If I can help myself and one other person increase the quality of life I will be satisfied.
For a teaser, I will give a basic outline of my formula. I have yet to figure doses but as of right now my goal is to achieve 250mg of mushroom powder per capsule. I will be using matcha powder as well as cocoa powder to act as fillers and potentially add to the benefit of the mixture. The mushroom powder has been mixed with a solution of citric acid and dried to act as a preservative and hopefully ease in the digestion (lemon tek powder ). I just need to make a ratio of these ingredients, combine and encapsulate them, then report my findings. Once I get the ratio down I plan on reporting back here to post my results and hopefully get some feedback from the community.
Sorry for such a wordy introduction! What started out as me saying hello has turned into a novella. I hope it wasn't too verbose! If you read all the way to the bottom, you have my appreciation.
With love,
JM
