I recently got interested on trying psychedelic mushrooms with some friends, but im kinda (very) new on the subject.
Any advice? Is there a species of mushroom recommended for the first time?
Do you recommend doing it outdoors or in a safe space (like a room or something)?
Sorry if a question sounds dumb, but i barely know anything about shrooms

There's good information about mushrooms and LSD use at tripsafe.
If you are going to trip with friends make sure they are trustworthy. If you are going to trip outdoors make sure you will be safe and not calling attention from people around you. I would suggest doing it in private first. If you can, try having an experienced tripsitter.
Welcome to the shroomery.

Psilocybe cubensis is the most wide spread. If it's not a penis envy strain or the like, then up to 2 grams dried is fine. If it's natalensis, it's perhaps 1.5 times as potent but if you don't know what you are eating then even the same strain can vary a lot in potency. It's probably a good idea to go for half a gram first to figure out how sensitive you are and what the potency of the shrooms you have is.

Just start low, 1 gram is a good starting point of dried cubensis.

I was also going to mention that a gram is a good place to start.
I am also aware, however, of people who find a gram of some things, like P. natalensis, to be much stronger than they expected. It is good to get an idea of what other people are using for a dose of whatever you end up taking, though generally speaking a gram of cubes is unlikely to be overwhelming.

Shrooms are more powerful than you can imagine. Stay under 2g dried for your first time. Google hard. Google “ set and setting.” Understand “intention” and “integration.” Set aside 24 hours for thinking if you want to go deep.
What do you want? Party? Dance? Laugh? See god? Find truth? Do therapy? Treat PTSD? See aliens? Go to heaven or hell? Astral project? We would have different advice for each goal.
I prefer internal mental trips so I lay on my bed in silent darkness and keep my eyes closed for 6 hours. I create a play list of guided meditations beforehand. I wear an eye mask and put in my earbuds. I fast 4 to 6 hours prior to avoid nausea.
Have a “trip sitter.”
Good luck.
