Europe * 7

Made it into Europe for about a month. Went through a air port in Germany. They were really chilled out and friendly

Soon as I got here there is some kind of a European smell that is really unique. It's a nice clean smell that really triggered my memory

Found all of these sandwiches everywhere. They looked really good. I've never seen sandwiches like that. It looked like they came straight from a painting or a cartoon.

A pure work of art. So many pre made sandwiches that it blew my mind. All of them are a masterpiece. I've never even seen bread like that on a few of them. All I could think of is that scooby doo would eat them all

Almost got stranded in Zurich Switzerland which would have been alright I'd hope. I thought it was really nice that they sell cigarettes on the airplane. It's super chilled out

Made it to my home here and everything is insanely different. Everything is really ancient and old it's a big shock coming from a country like Canada. Got a whole house to myself and it's really peaceful

A little cat came up to me and I was probably going to put the cat in my room to treat it like a god

Home is in the southern region of Italy. It's all mountains on the ocean and ancient run down villages everywhere

The food tastes better here for some reason and I like it here. Took all my vacation time and a leave of absence off work

Everyone had been really friendly. They brought me cake that looks and tastes like it was made in a wood fire oven. I feel like it's easier to relax here and I've been appreciating sobriety at the moment.

Just appreciating the moment every moment I can, had fun traveling. It was a lot of hours

I like the bread in Europe. It's better than here.

I see a lot of people shitting on Europe lately, and i can see why. If you read the headlines, it must look like hell on earth. If you stay out of the big cities, its all quite good actually, and yeah food is great, we still have a lot of artisanal food makers, the best cheese, bread, meats.
Enjoy my friend, sounds like a blast, southern Italy must be amazing, hope the people there live good lives!

Oh, that's nice. The south is lovely. Sounds like you're in a spot we haven't been to, yet, given the presence of mountains. West coast?

Yeah, European bread can be awesome. Especially in Italy and Germany.

I donno if I see much bad other than Ukraine/Russia, and occasionally some bickering about immigration

But as far as news sensationalism it doesn't approach the burning hellscape of constant danger they make the US out to be  I don't know how many foreign visitors I've talked to that were surprised they didn't see guns everywhere when they were here
