This is my first ever grow. It's ODPE on rye with 50/50 coir/verm. I hoped to get them more chunky but I think I went overboard with the spawn to bulk ratio at probably 10:1 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Did I pick too early?

Mutant with 2 smaller fruits growing upside down on top.

Mutant gill balls. They look like they belong in a coral reef.

RustyWhyte spawned 2:1 no casing layer

Looks like they could use a tiny bit more air, that’s usually the cause of long skinny mushrooms like that. That or the spawn was a little bacterial.
For a first grow that’s good though, especially with a PE variety. You’ll definitely be happy with them.

They were so small. Like picking English peas. And the stipes were super attached to the substrate, but where the stipe and cap met was fragile since I let them go so long. Wound up with a dehydrator tray of almost entirely tiny caps.
They’ll still make you trip 🤷♂️ PITA though lol

I have a theory about ape micro fruiting. I will be testing it out but the hypothesis is that it's a combination of too much fae combined with temperatures above 75 Fahrenheit.
