Is it possible to sterilize PF jars using the oven, or is PC'ing the only way to go?

If you are doing cakes, as baltazar says, fractional sterilization is you best bet (second to a PC). Not so good for grains really, turns them to goo.

On the contrary, fractional sterilization worked fine for a friend of mine with grains (popcorn and WBS). I don't think I ever heard him complain once about turning grain to goo...

Ok, don't take my word for it. I boiled the fuck out of it, made a mess and bought a PC, (which works great), I never tried again since I got the PC.

So at 12 psi, how much longer would I have to pressure cook?
