mushroom tea?!
    #2859553 - 07/05/04 08:34 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

hello fellow shrromers and shroomets.

i recently set a up a straw EQ groq in a rubber maid. after a couple good flushes, it was neglected, moved to the basement waiting disposal(burry in the yard). i went down there today, and to my surprise i found a few HUGE mushies. there were 4 of them and it totaled 120 g wet.

these shrooms were neglected as i mentioned, and i would NOT want to eat them as they are over grown and completely covered in spores. i seem to recall however a method of making tea.

i did a quick search and to my dismay found nothing, so the question, what is the best way to make some tea?

if i am an idiot and searched wrong or something, just say so, i dont mean to be a burden with already answered questions.

much love all.

Steep chopped up mushrooms in WARM(not boiling) water.
Ideally, you would use dried mushrooms that you have weighed out(for accurate dosing) and powderized(for more thorough extraction).

Do this aproximately 10 minutes or so.

Next, strain off the water and flavor it to your prefferance using any number of variable fruit juices or koolaid type drinks. (The mushroom pieces may still contain active alkaloids, so you may want to save them for more brewing)

You may consider using quite a bit stronger concentration of flavoring than normal to mask the flavor of the shrooms.
