Hello. I am new to the foraging game on have only gone out looking once with success with no actives. I would love ANY tips you have for identification, edibles, actives, and any links to resources you have. I want to learn. I have a deep passion for this and I believe having these in active form will help me with my mental health issues and physical disabilities very much. Please be kind.

If I'm not mistaken, you've got summer there now. So you got some time to prepare both for the edible and active hunting season, which is good. Being in Victoria the obvious active species to hunt is Psilocybe subaeruginosa. You'll probably have to wait until April for them to start popping, give or take.
There is a lot of activity here on the forum in the Aussie season, and quite a lot of people from Victoria. You should just hang in here and follow threads and discussions. There are also a lot of old threads and discussions where you can read up on identifying features and check previous finds of active and edible species.
One to check is the previous psilocybin species thread for Victoria:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28248061#28248061
The identification techniques are the same, and the community here is welcoming and willing to help.
You could make good use of http://mushroomobserver.org, which is a reporting database for fungi where users are able to vote or comment on people's finds. It is really helpful for beginners who need to see how to take good identification pictures. In time you should also make your own account there so as to have an even better chance to identify whatever you may find.
Another site which might be useful is www.inaturalist.org, which is a reporting database for all wild things, including fungi. Not specialized on fungi, but very popular among foragers. You will however need to create an account there to make use of it.
I see there is also an Australian reporting site called https://fungimap.org.au/, however I haven't got any experience with this site. The previous two cover the whole world, with the first having a somewhat overweight of North American users.
Welcome to the Shroomery.
