Dude. What are you talking about. He robbed me. I then called the police. I never once took matters into my own hands, if I would’ve he’d be dead.
This person would be a fucking idiot to interact with a dude my size again. He’d have to go out of his way to find me.
Also, the town this happened in, my dad was a patrolman, and my brother is currently a deputy for that county. I’m far from outgunned. The dudes a fucking idiot:

Also. As far as taking the law into my own hands.
I think in my age, doing something like dumping 20 lbs of birdseed through out his lawn, or making 500 business cards that say “I sure like suckin cock” with his phone number on it would be inappropriate.
Edit: typo. ‘Twas to say “inappropriate “

This dude has a family and his first go to was calling the cops on me for “stealing” his stuff. He’s not going to do anything. He’s a moron.

Well that’s taking place now.
The idiots having idiots message me fishing for my address, so I’ve had to nix business entirely.
I’m considering going to the clerk of courts and filing a formal affidavit myself.

You could have fun with them, and just gaslight them.
Give them like really shady addresses to go check out. Like scary abandoned warehouses.

Isn't a situation like OP a prime example of how to use guns in America? If OP had carried a gun he would still have all of his stuff. What's the point of being able to own guns if you're not going to take advantage of it? You Americans are walking contradictions sometimes.

You can’t shoot someone on their own property for walking away with tools.
Even with a screwdriver they wouldn’t say I was endangered.
As I mentioned there was a truck speaking with him on the side of the road. I’m guessing they had the drop on me.
I come to find out today that he actually had a child endangerment charge dropped that morning, in conjunction with an off road wreckless op charge that stuck. So the dude originally messaged me on the 8th casing me to take his shit the second that he walked out of court.
My biggest mistake was calling the cops and not handling it myself.
The issue now lays in limbo, and he really has more advantage than I do, because he is willing to put kids in danger.

The problem there, is I could wreck my business just responding to them. I’m trying to move away from fb marketplace all together and go for consignment shops, but that’s even proving to be difficult. I was doing the best on eBay, but fb bst is a quicker way to accrue without fees. You can rate someone just by engaging with them in a marketplace chat, and I’m currently at 5 stars

Who said anything about shooting him? He bluffed you with a screwdriver, you out bluff him with a gun. 99% sure he would have given you back YOUR shit.

I’m 💯 not afraid of a tweeker with a screwdriver. I’m 💯 against traumatizing a child. She was asleep in the back seat. If I had a truck somewhere watching me, and pull a gun on this dude, and truck guy fires into my back, my daughter isn’t going to be thrilled.
The screwdriver did not scare me. The unknown tweeker in the truck was the variable, and I don’t think a gun was the solution to that equation.

You need to assert your dominance over this guy so he stops disrespecting you. Have you tried pissing on his garden?

You should see this tweeker house. His lawn is 8 inches of filth and mud. All the tools are dismantled and put back together. Literally everything is broken and missing pieces. He doesn’t have a garden cause he hasn’t mastered growing meth yet.
That’s why I figured 50 lbs of birdseed, and 50 pounds of cat food would be ideal.

between you and me that makes one of you.
a screwdriver is a heavy duty stabbing tool
tweekers often are half psychotic.
very lethal combi, like a monkey with a pistol.
most knives in reality arent so stabby as they look, but all screwdrivers are and with very little effort.
a screwdriver is the stabbing tool equivalent of a .22 LR
Also: someone with s acrewdriver is not showboating a shiny blade. there is pure unceremonious intent to stab with it.

I agree, Asante. Heck, even your normal door key can be a weapon. Imagine thrusting your key as hard as you can into someone's neck... that could be fatal. But a screwdriver probably is more dangerous than a normal door key.

I’ve had a thing or two pulled on me before.
If someone is prepared to use something like that, they do. This dude standing on the other side of a tote holding a tool is something I could handle. I used to fight, a lot. It’s not something I’m bragging about…. And anyways.
None of that matters as to what I should DO. The situation happened exactly how it happened, with a complete lack of fear of a screwdriver. That was the only outcome, because it’s in the past.
Currently, however, I continue to wake up vengeful, and I still haven’t gotten the lazy cops lazy supervisor on the phone.

Yeah there's a very small amount of scenarios where you won't be brought up on murder charges. Stealing tools and fleeing isn't one of them.

Exactly. The person holding a screwdriver and then walking off with said tools wouldn’t even be a reason to pull out a gun. If the gun isn’t necessary, it’s not necessary. There’s no jury in the world that would side with someone that flashed a pistol because someone tried walking away with $100, unless the thief also had a visible gun and my life was in danger.
