Blueberry Ale
    #2858917 - 07/05/04 01:36 PM (19 years, 8 months ago)

Damn this BluCreek Blueberry Ale is some tasty stuff.  It's actually brewed with wild blueberries from Main rather than farmed ones.  Usually I don't like fruitified beers but this stuff isn't too sweet and it's very refreshing to drink on a summer afternoon.  Cheers Shroomery!

sounds pretty good! i too dislike sweet drinks...i drank some hard lemonade about 5 years back and not only did it taste really fruity, but it gave me the worst fuckin stomach ache i ever had...too much bacteria like hard cider i presume

nah, its the sugar they put in the hard lemonade that'll make ya sick. not bacteria.

blueberry ale is good, esp from bar harbor brewery in ME.

It doesn't sound like you are. In my mind, a true alcoholic can't go one night without drinking. You're fine as long as you don't use it as a crutch to numb yourself from things that bother you.

http://www.blueberryale.com/ then click on "Where can I find BluCreek?" It's most available in WI because that's where it's brewed. Surprisingly it can't be found in Maine, where the berries come from.

They have it in Indiana....It is pretty awesome! It's not like the "foofoo" drinks because it actually tastes like beer...with just a hint of berry goodness! I drink it about once a month.

We have a a damn good berry beer brewed here in Oregon by Widmer. Its called Widberry, its got Oregon black raspberrys in it. Now I would never touch one of those fruity foo foo drinks. But this beer is so refreshing, & not too fruity. I wish I could get some of that Blueberry Ale though..sounds good.
