I don’t think it’s called watering if you used isopropyl alcohol… lol. How much alcohol did you give ‘em? And your talking about a plant or a tub?
Either way, id flush it with water and hope of the best.it will probably be okay.

Lol I mistakenly used a bottle of unlabeled ISO instead of H20 in a mono. Tub had already put out a proper flush so I just dumped the sub after I realized my grave mistake

Started getting hot and debated getting a small air con for my grow room, thought I’d wait for the following weekend and had a week of over 35c averages and stupidly high humidity, lost 90% of my bags and every tub that was fruiting got the green and/or stalled ): leaving work early this arv to get that air con

Not to beat a dead horse, but this is what I feel like happens when you DONT pick out the agar chunks at spawn.

Just did transfers while the agar was still warm/not fully solidified because I was in a rush and didn’t realize it’s the norm to let it cool for like an hour. Hopefully the mycelium is okay, we will see. When I did the initial inoculations my first time they probably weren’t cool enough, and those worked out, so I’m hoping.

Inoculated my first spawn jar with agar and watched it grow for a couple of days then it all of the sudden died. I had sealed the jar shut and didn't know it needed gas exchange.
Then when I finally got my first fully colonized jar I was going to do one last shake to see if it looked good. Banged the jar a little too hard on the edge of a book and the jar exploded in my hand. Luckily no wounds but I got grain all over the kitchen.

Lol, what is this now?
Just think about it for a second. If there was an issue with the agar wedge, it would be transferred to the grain, infecting the grain, the grain would infect the substrate whether you remove the wedge before spawning, or not.
If you've inoculated your grain with pure culture, and your grain was sterile, your tub will be fine; agar wedge our not.
My confession:
I always wonder if my yt video is the cult equivalent of "it's so cold in the D"

You don’t think that if the mycelium is older, like it would be on the wedge, that it might knot up before the rest?
I confess I am still learning and plan on it continuing.

No, all the mycelium is one hive mind. The mycelium will grow and eat while communicating within itself. When it’s done eating and ready to fruit, it will do so where conditions are best. The age of any certain spec of mycelium is irrelevant.

Even if the wedge was old and covered in pins, pure culture is pure culture. Contamination isn't spontaneously generated from age, pins, or anything other than prior contact with contaminant microorganisms.

Yeah, I’m not talking contams here, what I mean is, does the culture ever go from fruiting to eating again when it’s given a new food source or does it stay in fruiting mode. Best example I can think of is if you transplanted a pin to a new plate but didn’t lay it on its side would it continue to mature or does it need to go back to mycelium and eat The reason I ask if because I have a culture now that doesn’t colonize coir before pinning. Now granted, the coir doesn’t provide nutes, but it seems to colonize as it’s fruiting

Mycelium is mycelium, it doesn't matter. This is why pins can be cloned by laying on agar, they know what to do.

It's never not mycelium, mushrooms are basically just very dense mycelium. I've never seen a plate pin continue to grow as a fruiting body after having been plucked and transferred tho, if that's what you mean.
