Only time I’ve had anything like that was when my natalensis surface had maggots living in it
Actually I even got this once in a muda-styled container, which was inoculated via SHIP, so it's def something that semp myc does (I never had no insects whatsoever and no other mush would ever do that ooze), but I can't figure out is it my wheat or coir, or whatever else that causes reaction. It's like it's trying to digest coir. This stuff doesn't smell off, sour or rotten, more like something edible, like Chinese cuisine maybe (no pun intended).
Writing this I remembered though that rarely nats would produce some metabolites, but what they produced was more translucent and runny.
Anyway, could it be that it's a reaction to some contam/unclean bulk material? I imagine spawn being overcooked, for example, was vulnerable during s2b and caught some, say, bacterial stuff, which then mycelium fights with by oozing metabolites.

Some day we might figure where did they get their material. And captain's comes from TCO anyway, if I remember correctly?
I did!
Angam's line is from inoculate the world. I've noticed yesterday that it's the only one producing a sea of tinny pins on agar. None of the other lineages do that. I'll take a photo next time I do a lab session. But apart from that, it pins as fast as everybody.

amazing potent

combined 5%

is this real? This would make this about 1.4 times as potent as TTBVI
Island cup results came in. Apparently TTBVI is still the strongest at 5.17%, but not too far behind was subtropicalis at 4.85%

forgot about this 56qt I stashed when my schizophrenic relative moved back in and it was drier than a popcorn fart from propane heater nearby yet colonized wsy better than the thinner, wetter shoeboxes a foot away. Guess these really do like to colonize dry/fruit wet...
Meant to mention regarding that plate of pins: it's interesting because I have two distinct types of pinning I get on sub plates: culture type (x) which pins in concentric rings and culture (y) which forms small clusters in one or two places. But the ones that form more pins in those ring-like zones behave and look a bit different. Creamier/finer myc. Probably just me talking out of my ass though.

I’m going to pay more attention to pinning areas now. Hopefully getting ready to drop.
 Hopefully getting ready to fruit.

I just spent the better part of 2 days reading this thread and then shuffling off to research random bits. I've got spores on the way and after 15+ years of lurking have created an account to join you. Looking forward to seeing how these genetics will vary.

For semps, I've got a decent amount of time in with cubes. Someone told me they got a hold of some semps a while back and absolutely loved the experience, so now I'm nerding out on them and am hoping it all goes well.
