A. Persicina or A.flavoconia?
    #28576166 - 12/09/23 05:30 PM (1 month, 18 days ago)

When I seen the cap color to these at first I was sure these were persicina but when I saw how yellow parts of the stipes were, and the universal veil fragments too on a closer look I wasn't so sure.

This might just get filed away somewhere for playing with if I ever get a scope but wondering what someone familiar with amanitas may input

Amanita flavoconia or frostiana.

Size reference? It isn't A. flavoconia, and A. frostiana is described as being a very small Amanita species.

They're described as being of similar size. But why don't you think it's any of these? What else could it be?

Specimens found fit the bill for small for what it's worth.

Because A. flavoconia (and A. frostiana for that matter) has more yellow material along the stipe. I've seen all these species plenty of times, and these mushrooms appear more consistent with A. persicina. Or, at the very least, something other than A. flavoconia or frostiana
