I like protests They are important.
Education is important. But choose what you feed your mind and how much.
The world we live in, right in front of us needs tending. Anger and stress dont change things.

I’m not an angry person. I haven’t gotten triggered by any of this. If anything, it’s great because I’m educating people about all the stuff they aren’t paying attention to in the news.
Protest can be great. It has its place. It’s just the amount of apathy around politics. Is not helping anything. It’s making these people more powerful and it’s giving us less power by not taking the reins and trying to control where we’re going.

I’m just concerned for the mental well-being of the general population. Im not anti-voting. Im not anti-participation. But the amount of misinformation people unwittingly believe is staggering. Like you genuinely wouldn’t believe it. Most people know nothing.
The news isn’t your friend and it generally does nothing to inform you of the truth.

It is naive to think the news isn't hand picked and delivered. You are aware of what they want you to be aware of.

NHK is one of my favorites. The Japanese don’t sugarcoat anything. They just tell you what happened. Then, if you go to the BBC. They’ll tell you what the Japanese government wasn’t telling you. That’s what I’m trying to say. This isn’t me consuming just Fox News. And taking all of it at face value. I’ll hear something interesting. Then I’ll dig into it. Find out what they’re talking about. Get some real data I don’t just throw a headline out there and claim it as truth without looking into it.

Instead of getting news from different news sources that are all controlled by the same people.
Ask the people. Talk with people actually living it.
I learned a lot when my son went to Europe for a few months. My brother in Korea. Real people real events. From talking to people that live where things are happening.
And you'll find out about a LOT of things that are not in the media.

The BBC is extremely biased and has a reputation for heavily bending the truth. I would not use the BBC as a source of news if accuracy is your goal.

My comments re: politics were just acknowledging that the barrage of media I was subjecting myself to every day was not unbiased, and was slowly and unknowingly placing me in an echo chamber where I’d get fed more of what I was hungry for. If that makes sense.
“Not caring” would definitely be the wrong wording, but I have no control over whether or not a country is invaded half a world away, and being constantly locked into everything bad happening around the world just wasn’t benefitting my life.
Even outside of specifically news/politics I was definitely just fiendishly and mindlessly consuming content instead of doing more productive or enjoyable things with my time.

I fiendishly and mindlessly consume standup comedy and YouTuber drama. Usually video game gossip and I don’t play video games.
Why am I like this.

Bbc is where I get my best Boris Johnson memes
I take all of my news with a grain of salt. There are things you can do to influence stuff happening on the other side of the world. As soon as Americans found out about Mahsa Amini. Their protest started actually gaining traction on the global stage.
China pretends that Tiananmen square doesn’t exist. I talk about it on the anniversary.
Apathy isn’t going to help or change anything. I don’t let my news consumption destroy my quality of life. I just like to be educated. I like to tell other people about the things that I learned. I want to hear their thoughts on it. I don’t want to just be unaware of what’s happening.

I think there’s an important distinction to be made between being blissfully unaware of what’s going on vs managing how much of your energy you give to things completely outside of your control.

Asante said: LGBT is enough. The rest of the alphabet can create their own groups.
Including everything lets a movement lose its specific flavors.
Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgendered died side by side in Auschwitz and fought side by side at Stonewall.
Polyamorous-demisexual is surely a thing but it's on a fundamentally different level than the L and the G and the B and the T, and often lack minority affinity towards them.
As a gay guy who's been out since like 1999 (first person I came out to I was 13), LGB is enough. T and all the rest are a bunch of fucking freaks and all have a bunch of mental disorders.
Lesbian gay and bisexual are sexual orientations. Trans is gender identity. They have NOTHING to do with each other. I wish trans people would form their own acronym WITHOUT gays.
GB is all that’s needed. All lesbians are gay so it’s redundant.
You're right, no need to differentiate between the genders.

What makes you so special that you’re allowed to be yourself, but label others as freaks with mental disorders for doing the same?

If I told my psychologist that I was an almond, or a glass of orange juice for that matter, she would think that I had lapsed into psychosis. If I was born one sex and called myself the opposite sex.....would this be psychosis?
I don't think I'm any more specialer than anyone else although I am a pisces rising which is pretty rare and I have been told by an astrology worker that I'm "special" because I'm rare. Whatever that means.

I’ve only heard of the Tauros. I think I saw it in Max Payne the first time. I particularly enjoyed that the cylinder had the bullet at the bottom when it was fired. To reduce some of the kickback.

That just reduces muzzle rise. Recoil is unchanged but directed more straight back instead of up/back

I think that would reduce overall wear and tear on your wrist. Which is what I found so attractive about it design wise.
