Found these where I work on the south river. It’s been so dry I didn’t expect to find any but checked anyways and was pleasantly surprised! Gotta go check my other spots this weekend I’m sure they are up too. Anyone else finding anything? I usually take pics of them growing but my phone was dead so I didn’t get any pics in habitat.

If you really are THE Lk of days gone by, thanks for the info and contributions put in before I even became a hunter.
Looks like I should've gone through the creeks today instead of the pines. Oh well Edit knew that sounded familiar. That river ends about 10 miles from the jobsite I've been at for a year now

Been finding a few sporadically throughout the fall, but usually only in very wet or irrigated areas.
Cool finds!

Can't believe the amount of root at the base of those guys. Guessed it'd technically be called a rhizomorph but after a quick Google I think it'd be properly be "mycelial cords". I'm sticking with root and fully understand its not a plant

mr. lizard king! its an honor to make your acquaintance good legendary sir! your past advice has lead me down a fruitful path : ) wed love for you to hop on into the GA actives thread 2023 and all future threads to of course. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28142907/page/1/fpart/39/vc/1 !
and also im sure the people in this thread for ovoids would also greatly appreciate your contributions! https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28185731
you may not know me, but all the studying of past caerulescens (weilii) history ive done leaves you somewhat of pioneering protege lol. glad to be here for your return! and thanks for all your past advice.
alas i still have yet to find any ovoids, though ive been on the hunt and will surely eventually accomplish the task. there are a couple in the GA thread who are also quite skilled in finding them. i havent found anything active since around october but others have. i do see mushrooms popping up all over right now though
