This would be better in the ethnobotanical garden forum

San pedro cactus, contains mescaline.

The only thing is that it could be from a Home Depot and be barely active, or it could be from a south american cut and be incredibly active.

Pluviophile was being helpful by telling you how to better find people that might know what they’re talking about.

from my understanding aside from the small button cactuses its the columnnar cactuses that have multiple rounded ridges when looking from above and the aeroles point upward, on the san pedro, peruvian torch, trichocerus genera. and that there are a few lookalikes. the garden thread is perfect for finding the more exact information about that.

from my extremely limited knowledge id assume that is a mescaline cactus, but how much or how little youd need, i have no clue

i do thank you for reminding me to be on the lookout for cacti lol

It is Trichocereus macrogonus var. pachanoi
The Prominant Cultivar strain commonly sold at home improvement stores.

(DNA sequencing showed us that T.pachnoi, T.peruvianus, T. macrogonus and some others were all the same species.)
