At the local garden store the have alot of different cactus plants, but they dont have any names on them other than just "Cactus". The are a few there that look alot like san pedro. My question is is there alot of cacti that look like san pedro? Or would there be a way to identify them for sure?
yeah there are cacti that look like san pedro (esp myrtillocactus g.) you can id them though by looking at a known pedro closly and studying it and then comparing ribs, spines/tufts?, color ect. another thing trichs have V notches above the spines sometimes but they are hard to find a lot of times. if you don't really know exactly what your looking for you'll probably end up wasting money (kinda myrtillos are good grafting stocks)
