Yup. Desert SW US so pretty much central air conditioning at 78f most of the year. In the winter it never goes below 72f inside because my wife has no blood.

Rev do you case at full colonization as well?
Yes. Almost always case at or within days after full colonization. I have gone without and gotten less attractive flushes that generally eventually net the same weight over more flushes.

I'm speculating that next, we'll confirm some people are just physically way more sensitive to Semperviva than others, thus explaining the huge dosage difference between people. And it'll be the end of the fast vs slow lineage theory. Or maybe the fruits of the tub you ran at field capacity will be more potent, but I doubt it. Awesome work ReverendMyc
Thanks, Melgo. Same thinking. I like that we can do the testing with Miraculix & QTests to be more objective, but they ain't super cheap and there are still a lot of variables to account for. I hope to test this "slow" batch and compare with a faster one from the same culture, but I was about to shut down operations for the holidays so I will need to do some planning. If this tub continues on the slow path it will probably be another month or more. I may need to enlist a local fellow cultivator for an assist again.
Some more details on the grows that I think I have mentioned before in this thread. I find that starting dry until they are fully colonized is fastest, then I generally add a fairly dry casing because it is easier to keep it thin. Then I mist the casing until it is fairly wet, wait for first pins and then mist them pretty heavily on the regular (or as regularly as possible). Once they pin they want water. It just seems like it slows the mycelium down a lot while colonizing ime.

Looks so much different on grain to me than in the coir. I’ve been getting trich in my jars showing up at almost full colonization which is bizarre to me, could be lid issues I guess. The culture pictured was from an invitro pin that looked mutated so I said eh, why not.

Looks like I waited too long on these. They spooged everywhere. Was going to harvest the bell caps also but these 2 tubs filled up 8 trays in the dehydrator. S2B 10/24 38 days Took a few prints from these but Will get more from the Bell caps once they get picked

Incredible. I don’t think they went too long. They still look solid and intact. I think they’re perfect.
Your biggest issue now is keeping us all off your back. Excuse me sir, can I have some spores?

THIS!! And TCO reviving an OG 15 y.o. spores are the two gems of this thread for now. So exciting! Intriguing! God, it took me aeons to read through all the pages that I missed for the last two months, being a tumbleweed of a man.
By the way, the neglected straight verm block is still fruiting (spawned spring, first wave summer), but now it has just three looooooong ass fruits which are trifolded because they've hit the "rooftop" which is plastic wrap, crawled along it and then were pulled by gravity downwards. Been growing for more than a month now, wood-like tough fruits. A lot of new bulbs though, which I believe will be fruits. It's been three or four waves I'd say. I think I'll try mixing coir and dry verm next time, verm proves to be very versatile.
@Melgo, I'm still a dichotomous dogma devotee, haha! *want_to_believe_poster.jpg*
@Odissey, I've finally knocked some jars with your material and even spawned a tub! we'll see how it goes!
Also if anyone needs a print deriving from Captainfuture's line, I have a few to send.

I should get double credit for the Fusarium.
Checked it last night and it's becoming fairly entwined and I'm seeing even more pin heads. I'm going to let it go a little longer and maybe try and grab the nicer myc chunk for agar. Gonna have to break out the SAB for this though. That shit is not going anywhere near my clean room. It's still also highly possible the contamination came from outside while inoculating. I did it pretty fast and loose in my kitchen and I'm seeing a small bloom in one of my house plants. Still plenty of solution to play with so it's not over yet.
Nice to see you back Konbri!

Well I am quite pleased with my first run. I got 30G and 31g dry first flush from each of the first 2 shoeboxes, not counting the caps I have printing.
For those of you who have been DROOLING over the bell shaped caps, keep your fingers crossed. I put down a bunch of the Bell shaped caps to try for prints (pictured).
Harvested the bell shaped tub and it filled 5 trays in the dehydrator also.

That’s awesome! You’ll probably get a few more flushes too. Are you running 1 quart per tub?
*I know they’re Subtrops* but it’s like they are doing their very best impression of mica caps.

Isn’t it funny how mushrooms change when we keep growing them outside their natural habitat? I guess this is epigenetics in action. So fun to watch it happen.

Yes 1qt spawn 3qts coco + a pseudo case at spawn time then cased with Peat/verm/lime after full colonization. I have all 3 harvested tubs soaking to rehydrate. Surprisingly, having spawned into sub field capacity coir, The substrate didn't shrink much at all.
