What're these?
    #28563029 - 11/30/23 10:03 PM (1 month, 27 days ago)

I was wondering what these were. I've never seen any like them in my area until recently, and they seem to have pores rather than gills. Would they be poisonous?

Habitat:
Brisbane, Australia in soil.

Gills:
They appear to have pores, as shown in the photos.

Stem:
The stem is about 6cm long. When I sliced it in half, the inside was brown/blackish, with a few blue spots which oxidized to grey after 3-5 mins.

Cap:
Golden brown caps, about 8cm in diameter, as shown in the photo. I found this in the middle of a hot paddock, so when I noticed it, the cap seemed to be a bit cracked and dried out.

Spore print color:
I'm waiting for the spore print to complete at the moment, and will upload a photo when done.

Bruising:
When I cut it in half, there were patches of blue, which oxidized over the period of 3-5 mins to grey.

They are boletes  - despite the bluing they are not psychedelic.. just likely to be bitter (or at least our blue staining ones are... over in this hemisphere... looks like some of your blue stainers may not be).
