I hear taking some vitamin c just before and during a trip can increase it or make it more intense, true?

Vitamin C does however help ppl deal with stressfull situations so it can help a bit in the event of a bad trip I suppose

vitamin C is supposedly known to increase norepinephrine and dopamine levels

On the flip side, OJ contains Sugar wich elevates blood sugar and makes ppl less fatigued and physically awake.

Don't forget that VitC is the only legal doping. This is just a word of my prof. from university. This can show the importance of VitC.

It is not a placebo. Just experiment it if you want. Don't sleep over night, next day when you feel so tired just drink a fresh OJ. You will see how awake you will be in just seconds.

Ok, so you guys really want to talk about Vitiamin C, well here are some random facts about Vitamin C:

It is vital to the production of collagen, the connective tissue protein.

High doses of vitamin C used for the treatment of cancer patients have not been found to be beneficial. For example, research done at the Mayo clinic in a double blind trial (neither the doctors or the patients knew who was given the high doses of vitamin C) revealed that those who received the vitamin C in the high doses actually did worse than those who got a placebo

It helps protect the fat-soluble vitamins A and E as well as fatty acids from oxidation

Prevents and cures the disease scurvy

Beneficial in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia

People who smoke have a much lower level of Vitamin C in the blood than do nonsmokers. While the Food and Nutrition Board recommends that smokers consume 100 mg of vitamin C a day, smokers may need 200 mg or more to maintain the same concentration of serum ascorbate as a nonsmoker who gets 60 mg of vitamin C per day

Recent research has indicated that the intake of of antioxidants like vitamin C can prevent or counteract cell damage due to aging and exposure to antioxidants

Vitamin C is water soluable

Studies have yet to prove that vitamin C's effectiveness at the cell level translates to the prevention of or cure for chronic diseases

High doses of vitamin C at the beginning of a cold has only been shown in some cases to reduce the severity of the symptoms to a modest degree, due to a mild antihistaminic effect

Not only does a high vitamin C intake markedly reduce the severity of a cold, it also effectively prevents secondary viral or bacterial complications

A diet rich in Vitamin C will help reduces the risks of stroke by 30%

Vitamin C supports the cardiovascular system by facilitating fat metabolism and protecting tissues from free radical damage

Vitamin C has not been shown to prevent the common cold

Most serious possible consequence of an intake of Vitamin C above 2000 mg is diarrhea

One myth about vitamin C is that it is an antioxidant, but that is not completely true. Vitamin C is a redox agent, meaning that it acts as an antioxidant in some cases, and an oxidant in others

Vitamin C protects the DNA of the cells from the damage caused by free radicals and mutagens

A recent study shows that people who supplement with more than 700 mg/day of vitamin C have a 62 per cent lower risk of dying from heart disease than do people with a daily intake of 60 mg/day or less

Fortified ready-to-eat cereals usually contain at least 25 percent of the U.S. RDA for vitamin C

Vitamin C lowers blood pressure

Serves as a natural aspirin, of sorts, by combating inflammation and pain. It accomplishes this task by inhibiting the secretion of the prostaglandins that contribute to such symptoms

reabsorbed through the kidneys

Researchers have found that people who suffer from asthma, arthritis, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease have much lower levels of vitamin C in their blood than do healthy people

An adult needs 10 milligrams of vitamin C per day to prevent scurvy

Studies suggests that doses of vitamin C - at 500 to 1,000 mg per day can aid in the treatment of alcoholism.
