I don't know if there's a connection between rhizo/tomentose growth and getting overlay. AFAIK nobody has really looked into it, but I also didn't read this whole thread.
Anyway I'd say all your plates look pretty damn good.

Has that one been DNA barcoded?
I imagine any popular culture has mislabeled plates has going around.

My first spore plates were Aug 2023. I was lucky to grow some plins. I’ve been concentrating on those culture lines. Here’s my Muda bottle ready to harvest.

Does this look healthy? For cubes I would assume the rhizomorphic-like structures to be indicative of bacterial spawn. This is at 13 days after agar to grain. So very fast.

Rhizo growth on nats doesn't bother me, but the wet looking uncolonized grains do say bacterial.

There's only one or two in each jar and they're still colonizing. Immediately after sterilization there were also a few like that. There is not a lot of condensation.

It looks okay to me. Shake it up so it doesn’t turn into a brick. It may be bacterial, but I’ve definitely used much worse looking grain with great success.

I shook it like three days ago. I estimate it to finish in about two more.

Oh yeah you’re good then. I’ve chipped some bacterial nat out of the jar with a spoon and made good shoeboxes.🤣
