Indoor or outdoor garden?

I'll never use organic fertilizer / compost in an indoor grow again.

This last year I put dead fish in the bottom of the holes I planted in. Just gave em a few chops with a shovel and had real good results.

I've added spent monotubs into weed soil and that seemed to do real good too. Although I think it's the coir letting water absorb faster.

I'll save up all my spent coffee grounds in a bucket for spring time.

When I go forging any stems or fonky pieces get composted with the coffee ground bucket.

Any grain jars that go fonky get composted.

This least year I tapped 4 maple trees on my property and I used the tree sap in my watering and added some to various compost buckets.

Or go to a hydro store. Some stuff aint that expensive

Outdoor! I use pistachio-shells and broccoli-stems, banana-peels and spent coffee. I’m asking for super-nutrients like volcanic-ash. Tree syrup seems legit. What about cooking oil as an additive?

I've always avoided composting anything with fat or oil in it besides whole fish bodys.

Why use volcano ash? Dig some out of your firepit or wood stove.

I ordered Azomite Rock Dust, have you info about Azomite?

I've seen it at the hydro store but I've never used it.

Most modern fertilizers has trace elements in it.

I'll use a three part fertilizer and the one part is pretty much just micro nutrients.

Hopefully you see some results using it.

Be careful not to add too much Azomite to your grow, it contains heavy metals that cannabis can naturally accumulate. A small amount added to compost and using that as a top dress is a good way to go. I'm pretty sure the heavier micronutrients only move down in the soil profile, so it's best to put them at the top.

Pine needles are good just don't add a ton of them. Id chop em up first if you can.

I'm pretty sure there kinda acidic.

I’m planning on eating a couple bags of Edamame 2-3 times a week, now I’ll start adding the Edamame pods to my compost!

Cooking oil... ?
Where you got that idea from, "Fightclub"?
I wouldn't go that route, that sounds... pardon my wording, but thats nasty man, even if it would make any sense.
AFAIK, plants cannot absorb oils, for they're water based creatures. Vegetable oil doesn't do us much good either.

Composting is about using your cooking leftovers, but like, just vegetables, and perhaps some egg shells (well ground ofc), for some cacium, and also to add some texture, whatever you got for free, things that usually go out on the organic garbage.
But you gotta have a balanced compost, I've had my whole life a compostage corner, its free nutes, and Cannabis loves it.

I miss growing so much!

Most cooking oil is counterproductive to producing good compost.  It has been manufactured in a way that it can go rancid.

A quick Google search will explain it a lot more depth.  Some are ok, but most only in very small quantities.

Oil will also promote anaerobic bacteria since it prevents, or at least diminishes, gas exchange.  Promoting healthy aerobic bacteria can be a tricky area for new composters that doesn't need over complicated.

I cannot see how anarobic bacteria can be good for anything related to growing plants or fungi.

I thought fertilizers were made out of oil?

Lots of things are made out of oil.  It doesn't mean their current form behaves anything like it.

How can I turn cooking oil into fertilizer?
