Etsy purchase of mycelium

Hi guys,
So I bought something listed as: "XX g Fresh mushroom english name Mycelium mushroom latin name Mushroom Spawn Spores Seeds + Free eBook"
I got this:
And no ebook before I contacted seller and then I got some generic scanned old PDFs about cultivation, completely unrelated to this product. When I asked the seller about the state of the product, she said it was "biologically dried"...
I've tried multiple things to get this mycelium active, including: Putting it on agar LME plates, also doing plate doubles with a drop or two of sterile water on it to see if that would reactivate it. Mix them with hydrated wheat to see if it would multiply and lastly put it in HWFP substrate. Nothing is growing from this, the seller wasn't helpful and couldn't tell me anything about how to grow it, I got a full refund from Etsy, but I am still wondering if this is actually something that works(mostly because there are some species here that I haven't seen sold elsewhere) and I would guess the best place to ask is with you lot.
All the bags look remarkedly similar despite it all being different species.

There is a lot of this type of scam around on ebay and amazon and so on. Seems it is difficult to go against this kind of fraud.

The weird thing is that this person also sells dowels, which are covered in mycelium(I bought some of those as well), but I have a sneaking suspecion that these are all just the same type of species, like an oyster or something.
And this person has +20k sales on Etsy with the majority of reviews being positive, but no one actually saying anything about succes with the products.
Just seems rather obscure to me that a scammer could have +20k sales without being caught....

I suppose nobody even expects those to work out. While the biggest part of what you ordered is at least hard to cultivate, because no well established methods exist yet, some are even mycorrhizal.

I know, but I have my own forest that I wanted to try and transplant a variety of species that should thrive there, so the order was intentional.
For example I also have porcinis going in HWFP that was cloned from a wild specimen.

Okay, that's a whole different story, but also something with not much of a success expectation. I suppose, I am not telling anything new on that matter with stating that tree rhizomes are usually already "occupied" and the probability that a new fungus can establish itself is veryl low. Also, some mycorrhizal species lose their ability to form mycorrhiza connections to roots over time when cultivated. Also, often very difficult to even obtain pure cultures, there is some literature discussing that matter.
