Hard to really describe, but different from your typical store bought pizza mushrooms by far. It kind of tasted like kalamari(sp?)(squid) to me, but lots more tender, and with a hint of mushroom flavor, almost sweet in a way. Very tasty, most everyone I've fed them to who says they don't like mushrooms has enjoyed them.

if you dry them out ans crumble them up they can make a good addition to chicken batter. or you can mix with butter, melt, add some seasoning and you got yourself a tasty butter mushroom fondue

Hey, Lizard. I was over at my boss's house today...He was getting ready to mow the lawn and was picking up sticks when he found a nice fat yellow morel underneath a maple tree....He said he's seen them all the time in the spring, but always thought they were false morels and mowed them down! I convinced him they were great...We cut it in have and cooked it. First an egg wash then breadcrumbs seasond with fresh minced garlic, salt and pepper, then fried in an olive oil/butter mixture.....God, I can't wait till my cast is taken off this wednesday so I can hunt for some here in Knoxville.

Popcorn Curry paste Potatoes Mushrooms Garlic,Carrot,Celery,Yam,Onion, etc. Olive oil Add oil, corn, curry paste close pan put on high. Explode corn, Add potatoes and vegetables in time order/mushrooms. Add a little water to turn the popped corn into a pasty sauce with vegetables, potatoes, mushrooms left. Don't overcook mushrooms. Popcorn is actually a staple ingredient in Indian foods, very rare though. Sub sweet potatoes for really good yumyum.
