So from my searching here and on the net in general, it seems we have a few people who have managed to get Lib Caps growing indoors - albeit, very difficult compared to the very forgiving cubes.

What I have not found much of (if any) is quality discussion over how to increase the yield for indoor Lib Cap grows.

Anyone able to provide some useful information/discuss regarding this?
Anyone with success of just getting these to grow want to chime in with your tek too just so we have all this info in the same up-to-date thread.

I'll start it off, but I am not an advanced myco enthusiast (Ive only grown cubes).

So Lib Caps seem to prefer grassy areas. Why is this?
I have read that some successful growers have added grass seeds to their grows. I wonder how much of a role this plays?

If grass helps, is it because it adds something to the soil? If so, what? nitrogen or something?

Farmers grow grass for a while after a few harvests of crop in order to "freshen up" the soil, right?
What is the precise reason for this?

I apologise to any farmers for my completely noobish understanding of Horticulture

My friend is giving me some prints he got from Lib Caps when I see him next and I am going to clean them up on agar and attempt to get the best culture I can before trying to grow Libs. It'd be nice to get a bigger yield from it IF I am successful.

Constructive thoughts/input?

I would imagine libs prefer dead grass roots and high levels of topsoil, probably more acidic soils too.
From picking experience, they don't like trampled ground(hence why you never seem to find them in cow fields), they like a lot of topsoil, almost peat like soils, as can be seen by the sedge that they are often found near.
They don't seem to appear to fruit very successfully indoors. Best I've seen is people get clean grain spawn and bury it in their lawns. Unless there's been more progress, I don't think people even consider yields, getting them to fruit artificially is nigh on impossible.
